Jojo Rabbit - A heartwarming story of a boy and his imaginary friend, Hitler

Robbie Collins, is a UK film critic that expressed 'concern' that Joker would get someone killed (concern seemed to evolve into disappointment) , and who staged an ambush of Joaqin phoenix during an interview, the one where Phoenix walked out.

He's now targeting JoJo Rabbit, because "nazi germany is not a million miles away from what's happening today". He was subbing on a popular BBC Radio Movie review show, and I think he believed he could recreate the exposure he got from his joker 'analysis'.

However because he's a sped he fucked it up, and kind of lost it when his female cohost dared to disagree with him. Bear in mind he's reading a prepared review, and she's talking off the cuff. Anyway he got done of twitter for mansplaining.

Collins is a well known shill, he works for a paper called the daily telegraph, a few years back, there was a story on the Guido Faukes Blog (which has since been deleted) that Collins went into overdrive to promote a box office flop called the "lost city of Z" because one of the owners of the telegraph bought up the UK distribution rights on the cheap.

Actually enjoyed Scarlet in this. Turns out she can fucking act when not doing a stoic character.

Sam Rock well stole the show though. He was thoroughly enjoying himself, and his characters flippant attitude and clear-yet-icy fury about being forced into the closet was a fantastic touch.

Hitler was fun, but agree with the comments that his transition should've been better. As Jojo's patriotism faded so should have Hitler's silliness - felt a bit too sudden a change.

Good gravy this film was darker than I expected.

Still fuckin' brill though. The main kid is a great little actor and I hope he does well, Sam Rockwell was the best character, Stephen Merchant had a fun little part and Rebel Wilson got blown the fuck up.

It did make me laugh that all the ads I got before this film about thinking for yourself against authoritarianism were centred around female liberation, including one about radical feminists protesting Miss World and coming to blows with one of the black contestants.

Isn't SJ just doing a slightly more quirky Marlene Dietrich impression the entire film? And the accent keeps slipping into French.

Liked it heaps.
Hadn't seen anything but a promo shot beforehand. To my surprise, ended up fighting back tears during the second half.
A lie, I definitely cried.
Maybe I'm getting old and losing my edge, but the harsh reality of it all really hit hard inbetween the absurdly funny presentation.

I don't know what JoJo Rabbit is but heres some weird fan art I encountered today when looking for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on pixiv.

I watched it today and I absolutely loved it (I'm also a bit biased as I love everything Taika Waititi does). I think this is the first film in literal years that made me both laugh and cry. All the actors are great, from the kids to the adults. I was pleasantly surprised by Sarlett Johanson's performance, I never thought she was a good actress until today. I kind of wish they'd explored more the relationship between Jojo and Hitler, especially because their interactions are so sweet and hilarious and I think Waititi and Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo) have such good chemistry.

I think Jojo Rabbit will get a spot in my top favourite films of all times. 10 out of 10, kudos.

Watched this movie a couple weeks ago. Aside from the tired "Nazi finds redemption for their crimes by befriending a Jew and learns they're Human After All" plotline, it was a nice movie, I enjoyed the cinematography, the humor was mostly good too.

This was a disappointment for me, think the thing that kills it's is that every nazi is a comedy cartoon character which kills it when every it tries to be serious.
