I just realized something while rereading Stone Ocean.

Pucci's black.

But his sister and his parents are lily white.

I DON'T GET IT.

It's supposed to be that the family has members with darker skin and Pucci , like his fucked up feet, drew the short straw. He's italian so he can be darker without tanning and he was born with white hair so we can stretch our disbelief a little more. If his hair was a natural color and didn't fit the stereotypical white hair tanned body design their would be a little more of an argument. Remember white in anime does not equal white in our world, even in Jojo Asians, whites, and even Latinos are indistinguishable from one another.

Or the mom was a whore got knocked up by two different guys and that's why Pucci got pushed into the church to keep him away from the family.

A bit off topic from the last post here, but I was listening to the Golden Wind OST and I found a track I really liked. What's is everyone else's favorite tracks? I like Epitaph's theme:

Call me gay but Mista's theme is pretty good, Bruno's theme isn't bad either.

What do you think of the series so far? Which characters do you like?
The first episode did a really good job establishing Dio as a total monster, which is saying something since he didn't become a literal monster until the third episode. While I'm already liking Joseph more than Jonathan (I'm 2 episodes into Battle Tendency), I really did like Jonathan. He really tried his best to be a gentleman. I loved the way he held on to Dio's head in his last moments. It shows how much he wanted to be a good brother, and it's a shame the brother he got was rotten to the core.

Back to Joseph, I loved the trick he pulled with the Coke bottle, and I also enjoyed not seeing the Coke go to waste. It's amazing how smart Joseph is, and hilarious how stupid he can be when he runs his mouth. Tomokazu Sugita is perfect in the role.

Finally, I had no idea Roundabout could work so well as an ending theme. It's amazing how a song from 1971 sounds more modern and timeless than many other anime endings.

Jonathan was a good lad, he deserved better. Dio is fucking awful, but he's a great villain because you love to hate him.

Joseph isn't my favorite Joestar, but he is pretty funny. He has his moments, I suppose.

The endings are always great for Jojo. I personally like the ending used for the first cour of Stardust Crusaders.

Personally almost all the music for JoJo is amazing.

Guess which moderator just hopped on the Jojo train?

I'm currently on Battle Tendency.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Jojo. It will only get more and more insane from here.

I find it interesting how DavidPro only started reusing tracks from previous parts around Part 4. Would've been nice to hear Joseph's BT theme for some of his moments in Stardust Crusaders

It might be due to the composer for Battle Tendency is different from the composer who did SDC music onwards. Hayato Matsuo did Phantom Blood's OST, Taku Iwasaki did Battle Tendency's OST, and Yugo Kanno does SDC, DIU, and GW's OST.

good job araki. you managed to make the most bizarre main villain thus far with jojolion. he was weird already but as of this last chapter haha oh wow. funny how rock humans grow up in wasp nests, considering kaato's hair dealies look like wasp nests on the bottom.

What got me the most from that new chapter was these two panels. They came out of nowhere.

I can only begin to wonder about why Enya is featured no less than twice in this chapter. Hermes makes sense as a single example of a regular human, but showing Enya twice seems deliberate, though who knows really. we can at least figure a little out about the sbr page there's no way that shit isn't directly important. the rock humans are said to create "special places" in nature that give them powers, and Lucy Steel connects the devil's palm to Morioh. there's definitely something there. and when she discusses morioh we see that one weird tree that shows up all the time in this series. we see it again with josefumi and kira next to it. that tree has to be important considering all screentime it got in this series. but I wonder, if these places were created by rock humans, why does the beginning of the series say the wall eyes are there to protect against invaders and foreign calamities? maybe that's a misunderstanding on the part of Yasuho or the town in general. also Lucy works for Speedwagon what the fuck? that name hasn't shown up till just now besides funding the steel ball run race, I bet they knew about the corpse parts or learned about them after. I guess they were the ones who went to retrieve the corpse from Johnny back during that flashback, I always thought that one female agent might be Lucy. I'd like to see more of what she was doing back then.

oh some more Speedwagon things, the original universe speedwagon died at 89. Wonder of U is said to be 89, the rock humans made a rokkakka video for corporate sponsors and if the Speedwagon organisation was involved with the corpse and whatever happened to the ground in Morioh, I'm sure they'd still be involved now. in fact I think that's the implication of them being mentioned here. furthermore, a rock human can live till 240, they could easily oversee all of this if they're patient enough. really makes me wonder where this is all gonna go.

Well I finally finished Steel Ball Run

It was really good, it's not my favorite part (Part 4 is personally my favorite) but it was a fun read and it had a pretty weak start. The race was really intense, and I enjoyed some of the characters. Johnny was a good Jojo, not my favorite but I enjoyed his character arc and he definitely got better near the end of the story. Gyro was my favorite character in Part 7 and he was really enjoyable to read. He was the most invested character I got to in the part. Valentine was also good but he didn't really get great till the Love Train arc kicked in where we learn more of his ideals beyond "the napkin" and was a really good villain, probably my favorite. Many of the minor antagonists were really cool like Ringo, Blackmore, Sandman, Magenta, Wekapipo, and Civil War. Diego was a really cool guy and I liked that he was more of a rival/antagonist rather than an actual villain compared to the original Dio which was a really good change. I enjoyed many of the fights like Johnny and everyone vs Valentine with Love Train, Johnny vs Alternate Diego, Gyro vs Ringo, Mountain Tim vs Blackmore, the Sandman fight, and the Wekapipo fight.

The weak start was mainly because while the racing portions were really good and fun to read, the fights were really lackluster such as the fight with Mrs. Robinson (who is really pointless) Boom Boom Family (who are honestly annoying), Italian Clown guy whose name I forgot was just passable, and the kid with Wired was also annoying.

Outside of that the characters and racing really carried SBR until Scary Monsters happened which really led to many more great fights afterwards.

As for rankings:

Part: 4 > 7 > 6 > 5 > 3 > 1 > 2

Jojo: Jolyne > Johnny > Josuke > Jotaro > Joseph > Jonathon > Giorno

Villain: Valentine > Kira > Pucci > DIO = Diavolo > Kars

Jobro: Gyro > Mista = Polnareff > Okuyasu = Speedwagon > Hermes > Kakyoin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Caesar

I would count Bruno but he feels like more of a parental figure to Giorno rather than a bro which is what Mista was more of.
