Didn't the writers specifically go to the news outlets and say the Klingons were modeled after racist alt-right Trump supporters?

it probably makes him less angry to believe they're a racist cariacature of Muslims than to even consider the idea that people with strong beliefs about racial/cultural purity are "not the enemy", because that would almost be like saying Trump supporters are human beings who don't deserve to have Moviebob sit on them. (although I suppose he could just cry about it and get his cortisol fix?)
