Jon wouldn't even fight back. He would spend the entire time he was being choked to death thinking about the smug tweet he'd make later about defusing the situation with his indoor voice.

Gameplay above storyline. Nobody buys a game for a movie where you press the A button once every quick time event, unless the story has serious choices in it.
There is a revolution in tv because amazon and netflix have opened up both vast new avenues of funding and brought competition to a market that had been static since the 80s.
Not that a college marxist like the great mckintosh would be recognise this.
Remember when the Comics Code Authority did this shit in the 50s and 60s because comic books are causing kids to be wild yo? This is exactly who this idiot is sounding like.
I think the kids are media literate if they understand that Jabba made Leia wear her bikini outfit. They understand what's going on in the movie - which is more than Jonny-boy does.
Jon should list the shows he is referring to so people can nitpick them to death. Jon should really appreciate a tedious autism sandwich that includes patronizing explanations about how his favorite actors are being forced to say lines he thinks are really impactful.

This. If anything I think too many Triple A games are gunning for "story". I'm sick of sitting through fifteen minute long dialogue cutscenes. I play games to play the game. If I wanted a novel I'd go read one. Novelists are usually far better at their job than video game writers anyway.

A moratorium on fighting mechanics? As in "You guys should stop making money and change things!" As if there is a dearth of games without violence as the central mechanic.
Wrong. This should have gone on for ten minutes on the intersectionality of Martian Hellspawn and neo-colonial self-flagellation: https://youtube.com/watch?v=fW6X1TFRvI0

That revolution started with HBO and Oz... And the majority of those shows? They're about killing stuff. The vast vast majority, it's all about who ends up dead at the end of the day. And that's because stories we enjoy are about the human experience, and the human experience is still obsessed two things, dying and fucking.
So your show is going to be about dying or its going to be about fucking or its going to be cancelled.
