He is sooo good at missing the point of films it's amazing. They whole things is a commentary on the thing he's complaining about. It's not even subtle about it. Repeatedly it screams "this is about the failed ability for men and women to connect in a meaningful way so we create our perfect fantasy instead!"

Hell they have whole conversations in which they say this exact thing.

Holy shit Josh you're terrible at this.

I thoroughly enjoyed his, "Men need to work through their emotional pain with friends and family."

As long as none of them are women, right Joshie? Then that would be a trope and therefor wrong.

:autism: would definitely explain his inability to understand satire and context.

This guy is such a dickless cuck he seriously thinks "this movie was written by a dude" is a criticism.

The main writer of it was indeed a man, but one of the lead producers was a woman named Megan.

I don't think this middle-aged man is capable of enjoying or even understanding anything beyond children's cartoons. There's a reason why over half the videos he made for his Patreon are Steven Universe videos.

I am so sick of seeing every autist, troon, nu-male, and Tumblrite on this site yap on and on and on and on about this stupid cartoon.

1: Star Trek TOS was groundbreaking at the time in regards to diversity and breaking stereotypes, and despite popular perception captain Kirk was as level headed as any other captain in the franchise.
2: Voyager sucked ass and much like your girl Hillary, Janeway didn't live up to the black man that came before her.
3: The world has never been mostly white. but space is in fact mostly white and will be for the foreseeable future, and will probably still be if we ever invent faster than light travel.

I suspect Jonothan hasnt actually watched that much star trek or didnt get it. If he'd had he'd notice most the time crew either have to think around a problem using science, diplomacy or unconventional soluations and that escalation to violence is the absolute last resort when all other options are exhausted. It's worth noting that in the entire of star trek only one long term enemy of the federation (the dominion) has been defeated using conventional warfare and even then it was when all other methods had failed because the enemy had made it clear that they would never stop military expansion.

The only other type of enemy where force comes in is when the bad guy is so fucking nuts he's gonna crash and burn and violence is neccisary to stop him taking more people with him.
But then again jonothan doesnt seem aware that meaningful conflict is the soul of drama and 1 hour of people talking through their lack of problems would be boring. I don't even like Star trek and I certainly don't have any pop-culture degree's-how the fuck does this sort of thing illude him?

More and more I think Josh was the driving force behind Feminist Frequency's ridiculous assertion that the depiction of something is necessarily the endorsement of said thing. That's why he only praises children's cartoons, because children's cartoons are the only video medium that literally turn to the audience, wink, and say "this is bad, kids, don't do it!"

He hates Her because even characters having full conversations about how what Joaquin Phoenix's character is doing isn't healthy isn't direct enough for his autistic mind to grasp.

So are these people just stupid or is there some sort of hidden autism epidemic that isn't widely reported?

Well, God-Emperor Trump did once claim that autism was becoming an epidemic.
I suspect he was probably right.

>3rd white guy in a row

How many bar brawls were there in Star Trek TOS? While there was a fair amount of Kirk getting his shirt ripped and exposing his chest, in terms of bar brawls, I can only name The Trouble With Tribbles. Granted, TTWT is one of the best and most recognizable episodes of the series and indeed all of Star Trek (hence why they made sequels episodes in The Animated Series and Deep Space 9), but how often did people go to a bar and start a fight?

Oh, and oh no, a show from the 1960's has elements that offends our progressive millennial mindset! Boo fucking hoo. Star Trek was trying to push the envelope at the time. They had a black woman in a prominent position. They had a Japanese guy as their primary helmsman (though I'm not sure what the attitudes towards Japanese were at the time). They had a guy that looked semi-demonic as second in command. And they had a Russian guy in a time when there was very real concern from the audience that the Russians were going to nuke them.

I can understand the desire for representation. Nichelle Nichols was an inspiration for black people, for women, and for black women. She was even confronted by Martin Luther King Jr himself telling her that she was needed when she told him about her desire to quit. But to shit on stuff that was trying to break barriers just because they didn't break every barrier at the time just makes me shake my head in disgust.

The more important question, who is he talking to no one is listening.

His twitter audience. He got about 5-20 retweets on any given post in that chain. So I guess in at least that regard he's better and more important than Jake Alley, in retrospect.

There are so many countless instances of Star Trek breaking the mould in terms of diversity that I question whether or not he's even familiar with the show at all or if he just noted that Voyager has a female captain and thusly is the best one. How about in TNG when Dr. Crusher in the episode where everyone is disappearing from the Enterprise and Picard believes everything she's telling him till the bitter end, despite all the evidence that she's insane? He believes her because he trusts and respects her. How many shows in the 90's were showing women in that same light?

The goddamn very first season of TNG shakes the stereotype that women are weak through Lieutenant Yar's role as head of security. He miss all those?

Maybe watch the shows you sperg about, Josh... Or don't, nobody gives a shit about tour rants anyway.

Sure but Jake is what, just talking to talk, like with his friends. We all know Jon has no friends, and he only has his desire to be culturally relevant for cashbux. He's getting piddly cashbux and 5-20 people? The fall was far and floor was hard.
