I've written before about how having someone committed to a facility due to mental illness is difficult in Canada, and holding them for over 48 hours is very very difficult.. again, this is one of those frequent times that using an American paradigm to speculate on what might happen to JYYS just doesn't work..

On top of that there are matters regarding the Canadian Charter of Rights that have not been fully resolved.

Then there's the additional matter of needing someone to petition either a physician or the court to get the involuntary hold. Unless that person is a family member or caregiver, it won't happen.

In a very brief search, there have been no non-criminal related successful psychiatric holds in BC that have not been initiated by a caregiver/family member.

File this one under Fantasy Outcome... Unless JJYS kills someone and succeeded at convincing a judge or jury that he was suffering from a mental disorder that rendered him incapable of appreciating the nature and quality of the act he was committing.

It's actually very similar in the states, except it's usually a 72 hour hold rather than 48 hours. Everything else is pretty much the same. It is a bitch and a half to get someone committed if they're not actively a danger to others (criminal) or danger to self (family member/caregiver).

It would be interesting to see the total of filing fees & other court costs he's avoided, matched against those he's paid.
Also interesting would be how much he has cost the community with all his calls for service.
I'd guess each of his 2 calls a day for 2 weeks to get his fat ass outta the tub were $500 ea. when all the costs are added.
That would give just those calls a cost of $10,000.

I absolutely believe that Johnathan may be suicidal, it would be the most rational thought he's had in years. The man is in an incredible amount of pain in the most sensitive part of his body, everybody in the world hates him and his hormones are jacked up in a way the human body simply isn't able to cope with. Add to that his pre-existing mental conditions and you have more than enough to make a miserable man. He has always had a tenuous grip on reality, I can't begin to imagine how his thought process is churning now. Being him must be hell. Good.

Johnathan has probably lost the ability to understand that his misery is entirely deserved. He will continue to suffer and make those around him suffer as well. Here is the cost of treating gender dysphoria as enlightenment. This is not kindness, it's negligence. I feel sorry for all of those people he will harm until he inevitably kills himself. What a preventable mess.

They are born without the ability to even take as a serious proposition the suggestion that any their own acts/omissions/statements might have contributed in even the slightest degree to any particularly sub-optimal situation they might find themselves in. BC bills ground EMS at $848 a go for uninsured people which is probably what it costs them. That wouldn't even include any cost for the fire. Of course since Yaniv makes no money he wouldn't be paying anything, even the $80 it costs typical people to take an ambulance they actually need.

People that are serious about suicide rarely bait like Jonathon and they don't post about surviving an attempt less than 24 hrs after being released from the hospital, or as often about it as Johnnyboi does.
