I just don't understand it. The refusal to disavow a person who, regardless of what labels they put on themselves, has tons of obvious evidence showing they are a predator, because... It will somehow give your political opponents ammunition if you call it out? I'd think trying to sweep this under the rug because the predator slapped the trans label on themselves gives transphobes way more ammo than the opposite would. Refusing to say that Yaniv is trash because he wants to parade around with a specific identity makes it look like you approve of the shit he does, it's an awful look.

It's simple when you use troonlogic as has been pointed out many many times in this very thread.

They can't actively support him because he's a verified racist, litigious predator, and that's no good.

They can't disavow him either because the party line is "you're trans as long as you say you are, gender is a state of mind etc etc"

You can't even say "outlier, not all trans" because you've already doubled down on trans people never causing these kind of issues because reasons.

The only possible position left is to take no position and pretend he doesn't exist.

Morgane had to sign an agreement with their ex to not expose their children anywhere when they transitioned, faces, locations, names, anything. So Morgane is campaigning as a "mom" who doesn't have any family to back that claim that can be used publicly. In fairness, if they had refused what do you think the outcome would have been?

Whilst I agree the publicity must be a thorn in their side since all this has come out, it was (presumably) a paid job and as such, as sickening as it is to see them treating the freak kindly, it's their job to fuss and pamper - just as it when they have to photograph kids who are the devil's spawn on the day.

JY has been friends with Tobin Smith (the male photographer) for quite a few years when they were all involved in "Mastermind marketing" scams. I don't think it had anything to do with the pageant as Mr & Mrs Smith photography wasn't listed as a sponsor. JY probably pitched it as a way to show the world their business is ~~trans inclusive~~
