Doctors use them to write notes from every appointment, log medication Rx etc.

Disclosing the dates of the medical records that they supposedly have is a really dumb thing to do, as you’ve effectively named your source. It’s as simple as going through the ID’s of anyone who’s accessed JY’s medical records and pinging anyone who pulled up those specifically dated records.

Also, HIPAA (Health insurance portal and accountability act) exists.
As stated before breaching this act is a felony. Anywhere in the world. Anyone even thought to be involved will have their license revoked, barred from practising and most likely jailed and fined severely.

TL;DR Documents or not, this person is a dumbass.

PHIPA is a provincial act and I don't think it necessarily covers BC but the PIPEDA would cover Health data in the same way which is Federal. Either way it doesn't effect the guy claiming to have copies of the documents. It could mean prison time for the person who accessed them though. There was a recent case in the UK of a hospital employee accessing a patient's health record for similar reasons and they got 2 years in prison. These laws are very similar world wide when it comes to health records though. 2-5 years is common for abuse of position to access/ disclose personal data.

Edited to add, I looked it up and it's only illegal if published with a call to action. A dox on it's own is not illegal it would need to be clear that the publisher intends harm.

He’s not just ‘clueless’ though is he? Smart isn’t the right word for him, crafty, scheming and manipulative suit him better.

He came up with what he thought would be a great wheeze of persecuting salon workers and dressing as a woman to get into womens’ locker rooms and toilets for him to perv over. He also inveigled himself as administrator of the FB of a tweenager band so he could approach their young fans and of course there was the topless swim party.

So we know he has in the past been extremely manipulative to get himself in to positions with a access to potential victims.
He has in the past used widespread types of social media to hunt for victims. It’s going to be very difficult for him to do now because he is a pariah. It would make perfect sense for him to want to go to jail and cause ruckuses (and probably sue) over that.

Besides, words like clueless imply it’s not his fault and he just bumbled into being a perv by accident.

There's very little difference between laws governing the protection of medical data worldwide.

To be fair, he did say the world over it's highly illegal and at least for Canada, he's right. The system is the same here. Everything is logged in the system just the same and if you pull records you have no right to you're gonna lose your license. We just have a different name for our laws on the same thing.

They were referring to my comment I believe from earlier in the thread and building on that. I said specifically in Canada that everything is logged when you pull records and that doctors would lose their license easy. I just didn't give the names of any specific laws in my comment. It was more vague.

He's scheming in the same way a pig is, when it's eyeballing you up, and you just know it would feast on your dead body if you snuffed it while near them
