Well, is it the right thread? Not really but I don't know what thread we have for everyday occurences that no one bats an eye at tbh. All the fake mascots that beg for money in NYC are fucked in the head and routinely get into turf wars with each other and get arrested for all sorts of sketchy shit. This isn't Yaniv related tbh.

SJU seemed to be blocking anyone critical of it or yaniv.

That's not yaniv style in his main account or any of his socks. He likes to bask in the insults and criticism plus likes to jump on to anyone who goes to far and get them Twitter banned.

The video on the homepage was beyond Jon's skills. I wonder if this is a Ryan Gordon production. SJU first caught people's attention in May when it gave Desmond is Amazing an Honorary PhD.

The video is from Fiverr or another similar mass production service. You can get videos like this for $15, they just add in your logo over greenscreened protest signs and record what you want as a voiceover. But I doubt this is Ryan or JY, it doesn't show any of their hallmarks and doesn't seem to have any connection to JY previous to the "degree" being granted.

Not having spent any time checking this: provided it's a large mainstream commercial hosting service this isn't too unlikely. In the sense of "bound to happen sooner or later just like your mother running into the neighbours at a busy market in Singapore". Did NOT happen a gazillion times before has now happened, as was statistically likely in precisely this combination all along.

Tamponathan couldn't possibly be SJU because SJU is a perfect illustration of Poe's Law. Jon has demonstrably not got the subtlety to pull this off as a IRL troll or a satire. Nor is he particularly clued in on unironic, actual true and honest woke speak, going by the evidence.

Management summary: statistics tend to come out on top at population level. Jon lacks the wits to have pulled this stunt off either way.

They're making a really loose assumption. That hosting provider can point an IP at any of dozens of server farms they have for providing hosting service. It's all virtual in the back-end. Last I checked the IP currently mapped to that domain, over a period of time, hosted over 25000 domains.
