Here in Sweden, those older cops have already left the force.

The force nowadays is made up of cluesless dopes who are more interested in sports and working out than enforcing laws and are concerned about their ass not looking tight enough in uniform pants, chicks who like to wear ponytails and abuse positions of authority, and diversity-hired hood rats.

There is actually a serious problem with police recruits not actually having the physical strength to fire a gun correctly. Either that, or they are not psychologically stable enough to be fit for duty.

Of course, cop pay is shit.

Its quite similar in the UK also, all the new recruits are university educated meaning that many of them are quite soft as opposed to the old guard officers who are now in their 40s and fifties. They used to be recruited from the rougher areas like council estates and other deprived areas because they would know how to handle themselves and they would know the sorts of people who would commit crime. Nowadays its all yuppies from Uni that can cut it on the beat because they haven't so much as gotten in a real fight before. (I won't derail the thread any longer don't worry)
