I totally agree that the satire guys are just gonna keep mainstream from picking it up and seeing the issue with a constructive lens. I don't know if they think they're helping, but they're not.

They probably don't care and are in it for yuks.
Yaniv is a hot topic right now and is netting clicks and ratings. As soon as the HRT trials are closed, I’m expecting ‘normie’ activity to dwindle a bit, unless JY finds another way to make a complete ass of himself - something he’s totally capable of.

Probably dwindle quite a bit but for as long as story's generating money there should be lots of new eyes and ears introduced to topic.
Satire is the only sane way to react to what Yaniv has got away with.
I disagree. Story as it is is nonsense enough without talking heads trying to twist it into a couple of rude jokes.

For everyone wondering about how effective the JCCFs defense has been, you have to admit that getting the publication ban lifted was a master stroke.

This story is no doubt now the most publicized case the BCHRT has ever adjudicated over and public discourse is strongly in the defendants favour. The tribunal still needs to appear to be legitamite and is in the spot light on this one. If there is anything making me think that Yaniv will lose its how much negative media attention he is getting. 🌈🌈

He's got a council meeting scheduled for tomorrow to permit topless swim parties for LGBTQIA2+ (age 12 up) at public pools. So I'd say we're in it for the long haul.

Oh God yeah, they really are a bunch of kids. And you're right about the hugbox.

I know a few amateur comedians who are utterly trooning out just now over this and it's hilarious to watch. From what I've seen though, it's the mtfs going mental the most and their handmaidens

Gotta admire their dedication to the comedy craft if they’re willing to troon out just for the laughs that troons invariably bring.

If you’re into the more surreal kind of comedy, watching a six foot, square jawed male insist that he’s a dainty little girlie-girl brings the lulz every time!

The best thing about this presentation is that Yaniv has requested a letter of support. This isn't another "information " presentation where the council can politely say "thank you" and move on. They have to render a decision.

Concerned citizens could form a delegation to seek TOL support for sex-offender awareness presentations to be made by local police before various school and community groups. "Predators are in our midst, whether we want to face that fact or not." Then pull out some quotes to read of Internet postings made by "an area man" and read Yaniv's lechery to the teevee camera while he sits there unnamed with his mamma.

Is this a trolling plan? It seems more like a plea for responsible community action. Srsly.

I found some "recent" videos and a YT channel appropriately called "Wax Myballs" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB3MxRIg1Tc3vxvy-2Uluug/videos ....and some random videos I found;

That is going to be a huge can of worms, and no one is going to be happy, least of all council - no one likes to be put on the spot like this.

A topless 12+ swim party where parents and guardians are explicitly banned.

If there are any shitlords in the area, please do show up at the meeting, introduce yourself’s as brave young genderqueer folk interested in attending, and start quoting Yaniv’s tweets. In particular the one with:

How many people at the pool will walk around with their tits and pussy out?!”

As long as he's suitably attired for the occasion then let him bring it on.

I am on a patio, enjoy several margaritas. The table to my left is discussing ‘a transsexual who is suing others because they didn’t wax his balls’. If notoriety was the game plan, JY has earned it. I’m a very long ways from Canada. Congratulations, Jon, you’re now part of normal conversation!

I've literally been in this thread since the first night it was posted, and I wasnt sure we'd ever get to this point. Now that we are im stoked.

It's widely regarded the same way in the US. Most guides I've ever seen concerning applying for disability in the US (regardless of state) warn that you'll probably be denied the first time no matter what. You're also told to hire an attorney to appeal. That usually works, and you can still appeal again if it doesn't and that almost always goes through.

It's ridiculous. I suspect it's a process that's "evolved" from the need to weed out obvious scammers and people who "don't really need it" by forcing them to "work for it," but it's fucked up that you need to be able to afford an attorney just to get on disability. If you present adequate (or even overwhelming) evidence supporting your claim, or i.e. go in person to apply and you're obviously missing a limb, you shouldn't have to jump through more hoops to get help.
This is inaccurate.
  1. Apply, get denied 99.9% of the time (1-3 months)
  2. Ask for reconsideration, get denied 99.9% of the time (+ 1-3 months)
  3. Appeal to an administrative law judge, get denied 50% of the time (+ 18-30 months)
  4. Appeal to a district court, get denied 97% of the time (+ 18-30 months)
Step 3 is where you hire an attorney and it's on contingency 99.9% of the time. This means if you lose you don't pay your attorney a penny unless you're reimbursing him for actual money he spent (for example a vast minority of medical providers charge attorneys a fee for copies of your records, which your attorney will want you to reimburse him for and usually amounts to $50-100 tops.)

As for why you can't just go in and say "No really I'm disabled please gib" with "evidence" there are three primary reasons:
  • You don't qualify if your medical condition doesn't prevent you from working for over 12 months anyway
  • They won't hire more fucking judges to lower the timetable from 18-30 months to ~12 because insert reason here
  • Disability in the USA is very different than it is in other countries where you're basically just handed it in 3-6 months because you don't get some paltry $500 per month. You will qualify for a minimum of $776 per month (the equivalent of minimum wage 24 hours a week) even if you've never worked a day in your life. If you've spent the past 10 years working minimum wage 40 hours a week you'll qualify for $988 per month (the equivalent of minimum wage 32 hours a week). If you've earned higher wages you'll qualify for more. Because of this there is a higher risk of abuse because unlike in other countries disability can easily pay more than working some part time job burger flipping.
I think this is why people from the USA are surprised when they hear so-and-so is receiving some form of disability in other countries. They don't recognize the bar here is so much lower and so is the pay.

We're definitely at that point where this thread is moving so fast that unless it literally came out five minutes ago, it's probably already in this thread in the past ten pages. The Wax Myballs videos have been up for ages and archived and linked. His council appearance regarding the pedo pool party has been discussed and it has already been pointed out that he's asking for a letter of support. In fact, the application for the delegation has been posted itself at least twice, maybe more.

I'm not saying "read the thread!". I understand it's moving very quickly but more than half the content in the past two days, especially whatever the fuck spergery went on last night while many of us in north america were sleeping, has been pointless, useless, shitposting or repeating info. Some of you aren't as funny/clever/badass as you think you are, first of all, but please ask yourself if what you're posting is relevant and if it is, perhaps take a look to see if it's been posted already. Use the search bar. Please. I fucking love it when threads blow up like this but even I'm starting to crack here.

I'm in the southern hemisphere. At the pub I just got back from, several people were talking about the same thing.
