Cost of living makes it impossible for them to just tard cum the system here, need LoLsuits to live. Rent's now 1000$ a month for a 1 bedroom in Langley, its exceptional. Even with owning his own place I doubt that fat fuck could afford his meals and tampon habit on Canadas disability alone.

For one, you are only allowed to have a certain amount in savings and it's not nearly enough for a condo and two, even if it was enough for a down payment, good luck getting a mortgage when your only income is disability. Mommy has plenty of ways of giving her special little boy all the income he needs without him having a paper trail to declare. I'm not sure it's even clear he's on disability, but if he is, there is absolutely no way he lives like he does without disability fraud.

I'm was curious about those messages. So I did I checked my FB messages from 2015 and the profile pics update to that person's current pic so she must have screenshot those recently. From the linked Instagram account I found 1 picture tagged in Oregon. For a 19 year old she doesn't Tween or Gram that often.

The fact that so many people are turning up is helpful, it's going to make it harder for the Tribunal to clamp down on those recording the proceedings. Also it would be a major step for them to close the gallery, and something that would almost certainly attract more scrutiny.

It would be an action the media would have to respond to, at the very least you might expect a request for a transcript of the hearings to be made. Other people have previously mentioned the expense of using one of the approved transcription services, almost like the BCHT don't want people to do it.





I'm a bit vague about what Authority the BCHT has against people not party to the case. I was surprised that they were able to issue a publication ban against mentioning Yaniv's name.

A tribunal in the UK or Ireland would not be able to take action on its own part, so say they wanted to take action against people videoing them behaving like idiots, the Tribunal itself would need to make a complaint to the Police or courts.

Does anyone know if this is the case with the BCHT? I'm curious because they're starting to get so much criticism they may be tempted to lash out.

Youtube transcribes audio you upload if you have that enabled on the channel. Accuracy depends on how clear the recording is.

There are a number of compounding factors for why there are so many homeless here. Obvious answers include the cost of living is just so high that it wouldnt be politically popular to just give people enough to rent their own place. Second is municipalities are responsible for building homeless shelters (with funding provided by higher levels of government) but local NIMBY groups are very strong here to the point where Maple Ridge opted to not building a shelter that was going to cost them nothing.

There are other factors that I think also really contribute to it. First there was an excellent post earlier in this thread about the shuttering of mental health facilities that led to a dramatic rise in homelessness. Vancouver is also a major dumping ground for the homeless. Prairie cities ran programs where they would give their homeless one way bus tickets to Vancouver.

Two more things to keep in mind is Vancouver is a major port city and has become a dumping ground for fentanyl from Asia. There was also a lot of misguided funding given out. Lots of money spent on programs that don't have the best outcomes because they sounded nice but didn't hold up to actual scrutiny.

If she has all the money in her accounts, he would still be eligible to apply on his own for himself. It's not assumed it's his money. They won't ask about his mother's accounts. Edit: WG Kitty is right, homelessness is a nuanced issue with many causes but the disability issue is absolutely one of them. The number of mentally ill people on Toronto streets, for instance, is absurdly high.

The YT auto transcript is good, but absolutely trash for this situation as it has a very hard time separating two overlapping speakers and has to have very clean audio to get it done. Also, any second language english speaker will reek havoc with the transcribe with YT as it needs again clean audio.

For everyone wondering about how effective the JCCFs defense has been, you have to admit that getting the publication ban lifted was a master stroke.

This story is no doubt now the most publicized case the BCHRT has ever adjudicated over and public discourse is strongly in the defendants favour. The tribunal still needs to appear to be legitamite and is in the spot light on this one. If there is anything making me think that Yaniv will lose its how much negative media attention he is getting.

I have a feeling that the BCHRT is going to be under a fucking microscope from here on out. People are going to research their past cases and learn about all of the absolutely retarded decisions/judgements they've made in the past. This might be optimistic, but I can see a lot of the members being replaced over this. Literally every member of the BCHRT is a far-left nut job, and this case could set a precedent that calls for a more "balanced" membership in the future.

Look at the case decided on last month where a hair dresser sued great clips after she was let go. Here are the case highlights: woman gets a job at great clips after lying on her resume about completing barber college, receives a significant number of customer complaints, is slower than what is required, and is let go while still inside her probation period. Here is the kicker - the week before being let go informs her employer she is pregnant and will need to go on maternity leave in a number of months. The tribunal comes back with a decision that yes she is likely to be let go because she can't cut hair BUT decides that the Great Clips had thought about her being pregnant when deciding to fire her so awarded in her favour a huge amount.

Incase you are thinking that maybe the franchise owner has a history of firing women before maternity leave, no they do not. In fact had several hair dressers say they were incredibly well supported when they had their leave.

It's an abortion of justice.

Disability in the USA is very different than it is in other countries where you're basically just handed it in 3-6 months because you don't get some paltry $500 per month. You will qualify for a minimum of $776 per month (the equivalent of minimum wage 24 hours a week) even if you've never worked a day in your life. If you've spent the past 10 years working minimum wage 40 hours a week you'll qualify for $988 per month (the equivalent of minimum wage 32 hours a week). If you've earned higher wages you'll qualify for more. Because of this there is a higher risk of abuse because unlike in other countries disability can easily pay more than working some part time job burger flipping.

You'd probably get more than that in the UK.

Below a certain amount and they won't care but you still have to report it. It's not that it isn't enforced, it's that a gift of cash has no paperwork associated with it so why report it at all? Mommy isn't going to rat him out. Not reporting income is fraud but gifts are really hard to catch and/or prove.
