And who will s/he sue when that happens?

I was wondering how JY was allowed to be so close to the horse in the first place. I've never seen it allowed that the public could go up and pet carriage horses, especially when they're eating out of a bag. My guess is that he went up to one when the owners' heads were turned for a minute, knowing that if he did get kicked it wouldn't inflict the damage of a car and he could try for a substantial payout plus deflection on his current issues,

I've seen people petting carriage horses when they were resting between rides before. Not in Vancouver, though, and not when they were eating. The drivers were there too and weren't stopping them. I think JY just wanted to get a dig in at Blaire rather than hoping for a horse bite payout.

I have too. Usually about the flank, sometimes on the side of the face. A couple of pats, maybe they lift the kid for a pat.

But thirty seconds, unsupervised, around the mouth while the horse was trying to eat out of a bag? Haven't ever seen that in any urban setting, and usually the owners are on it before 30 seconds. But JY knows how to exploit people. He's curating, at some level, being a disabled literal fat sped whom people will think is "special-needs" but harmless. He got mommy to drive what, 1.5 hours for this opportunity? The horse doesn't kick him, ha ha burn on Blaire! The horse kicks him, ha ha payout and I'm gonna have your horse put down!

The minutes from last strata council meeting:

An owner attended the meeting to request two approvals

1.Permission to install a lock box on the frame of their suite to allow emergency access due to health reasons. The strata felt that a lock box was particularly secure and would allow access to the suite if someone were to break-in to it. The council felt that a lock with numeric key pad would be much more secure. The owner agreed to investigate the feasibility of this and get back to the council.

2.Permission to install an automatic opener on the door to their suite. The council requested more information on the mechanism(s) involved and how this would be attached to the unit door which is common property.

The owner also requested that the council consider compensation on an elevator incident where the owner alleges that the elevator caused damage to a scooter and his person. Council were advised that they would be receiving a letter from the owner’s lawyer. The owner left at this point and the council discussed the issues above and will respond when they have received all the facts and sought legal advice.

Edit: added emphasis where strata threw shade

So he wants a lock box so he can put keys in it so when hes laying on the floor pretending to be seizing paramedics can get in easy? Or is this some other grift he's setting up?

The scooter tho. Fuck off Jon. Prove it. Fucking prove it.

I'd like to think it's for the constant stream of lady callers he's too exhausted to greet at the door. Poor love. Stands to reason, a fine specimen like him must be in demand.

But back to reality... the heist of the century, "someone stole my keys and took everything I had officer. Honest. It must be those dirty immigrants, there are hordes of them I tell ya."

I might support a law where significant dependence on emergency services gets you institutionalized regardless of consent. It's just economics. You're way easier to deal with as a full time ward of the state.

Setting aside his blatant racism and pathological aggression towards brown people, I would say that Mama Yaniv would probably go even more apeshit if he tried to do this, given how I suspect she is the actual source of his antipathy towards kebabs and kebab light given how she is both israeli and batshit crazy

That said the mental image of him in a slutty four-sizes-too-small pink burkha waving a tampon-muhammed flag and doing laps of the Kaaba on his Rasque of the Red Death while being chased by a horde of enraged muslims is extremely appealing to me
Yeah, but on the bright side, other Muslims would feel religiously inclined to throw him off the roof of a building. Win-win.

I believe it was said earlier in the thread that the strata made him remove his ring doorbell camera because the hallways are common spaces. His exceptional plan may be to put up a dummy lockbox with a camera inside it.

What's the deal with needing to serve up to 24 year olds in Canada for youth services?

Don't quote me on it but I think a lot of at-risk youth have traditionally been cut off services when they're 18 and a lot of them, especially foster care kids, end up homeless or committing suicide. So I think the age got raised to give vulnerable youth a few more years to access support so they're ok on their feet.

You'll find that in the U.S. also - sometimes going up to 26 depending on the type of service being offered. The UN defines "youth" as 15-24.

Where I am stateside foster care money terminates at 21. If you go to state juvie, you can stay until 25. And everyone in the states can stay on their parents' coverage until 26.

IDK about these graduated definitions of "youth" when in fact you can vote, fight and sign contracts at 18. whilst drinking and now smoking ages are going to 21.

It looks like Yaniv may be gearing up to put his strata in a bad position where he could later attempt to come after them with another HRT complaint on the basis of his 'mobility/disabilities', if he is denied his requests. None of this small time immigrant victimizing. Stealing from his neighbours is a way bigger payday.

The request for the lock box (on his unit door?) seems extraordinary. He can't waddle or crawl the ten feet in his 500-something square foot apartment to open the door for emergency services? This just enrages me. A true emergency? Then the fire department can force entry. That he's gearing up to have a revolving chain of emergency services requiring entry is absurd. This fuck needs to be humbled on this emergency bullshit.

@WGkitty has it been pretty quiet on the emergency services as of late?

Re: trying to put a camera in a dummy lock box - IF the strata approves it, they can require that the lock box is installed by a licensed professional, and inspected routinely, etc. They can and should also stipulate that the installation and any changes to common property (where the lock box would be installed), would be the responsibility of the unit owner, if there were any damages to arise from such installation/use, etc. There are ways to approve bullshit requests like this and make it inconvenient for him.

It's been a while also, but I'm *pretty sure* a change to common property (such as lockbox installation) would require the ownership to approve it (meaning the request isn't as simple as council approving it..... it would need to go before a Special General Meeting or an Annual General Meeting.

I'm amazed and saddened that so many people seem to be oblivious to the major contribution this has had on the social re.tardation of a generation of young people. Thanks helicopter parents!

Not that long ago, ADULTS ages 18-24 were busy getting jobs and starting families... "As soon as I turn 18 I'm getting the fuck out of here and starting my own life."

This is not rose colored goggles - it's facts. The infantilization of young adults is the primary source of what we see all around us (including half the cows on KF).

This goes a lot deeper than helicopter parents. It was a lot cheaper and realistic to buy a house and start a family as a young adult 30 years ago. Inflation, job market, yadda yadda. What matters here is that they were promoting an event with half naked children that also allowed people ages 18-24, which is gross. And of course that bit of pedo risk wasn’t enough for Yaniv, so he wanted it to be 12+. Otherwise he couldn’t get in to harass little girls in the bathroom with tampons.

I know Yaniv gives us a lot of laughs here at the farms, but can you imagine if his plan had worked and people brought their underage children? He would be like a kid in a candy store...a pedo in a pedostore. Thank god some people are still sensible and put a stop to that bullshit quick.

Dude. Since you were a young person, the cost of housing here went up to 600 000 dollars. The one bedroom shithole of JY is worth over 300 000. You try working straight out of high school and see what kind of wage let's you buy a home and raise a family. The best you'll do is earn 15 bucks an hour. With rentals being over a thousand a month now good luck saving a 20 000 down payment unless you live with your family or a ton of room mates. If you go to college so you can double your wages, you can add student loan debt to your expenses for the next decade.

When you're a young person being told to grow up and buy a house and start a family, but you notice housing costs have gone up 10x while wages haven't, you start to assume that society as a whole is ok with an entire generation not affording housing and raising kids.
