Isn't an apology effectively an admission of guilt? Could this be used against him as evidence?
that's a tactic cops use all the time. they won't say, 'why don't you write out a confession,' but instead, 'i think you might feel better if you apologize to the people whose home you burglarized. you just write up a detailed apology and we'll make sure the homeowners get it.'

Another tactic is to pepper you with accusations left and right and referencing how much trouble/time you can get, some are very outlandish and it just ends up confusing you or pissing you off to get you off guard and wanting to "prove" they are wrong. They want you to "break" and start trying to defend yourself and incriminate yourself and will be like "why don't you write down what happened, all in your own words, about this incident"

"I apologize that you've been made the centre of all this crazy controversy"

lolwut? Pretty sure johny boy has been always been front and center. Or maybe he really is (more) nutso and this is him apologizing to the Jessica persona in the only way he knows how.

It very much is, yes.

Back in my university days I worked in a complaints management type role for a pretty upmarket (read: geared towards a clientele who would typically be in a position to afford a decent law firm and were considered pretty litigious to boot) service provider.

We were trained only ever to say "I'm very sorry you feel this way" or "We,'re really sorry to hear you weren't pleased with [service]" but never "I'm sorry X happened to you during your dealings with us". Because the former two are basically extra-polite for "I acknowlegde that you're displeased" whereas the latter means "I acknowledge that X happened [or presume it did, i.e. agree it's conceivable]".

So, yeah, it very much would be an admission of guilt.

Strangely, Jon even seems to show some awareness of this particular pitfall. Notice how he says he needs to apologise or is sorry for "what he did" but never states what it actually was that he did? Ready made for a "but, your honour, I was referring to pestering her to eat more fruit and veg, and I admittedly went too far" type 180!

"I was a depressive and miserable person..." Ah yes depression the swiss-army knife of excuses. Can be used to excuse any form of shitty behaviour whether it by assaulting people censoring content, emotional manipulating people, being a paedophile creep and harming peoples livelihoods by causing them to lose their jobs. Yes Jonathan, you did all this because you're "depressed".

@Hyperjesserz (on Twitter), one of Yaniv' underage accusers has confirmed the (fake) apology today with a screenshot. It appears Yaniv is still lurking in the background on Twitter in DMs and still not chatting after 14 days. I love how this is in "past tense" and doesn't account for "present tense".

It's unfortunate that Yaniv did not mention the Elmo recordings. I think that was material to the apology.

He's baiting, he wants people to call and give this woman shit. What is his plan here besides getting attention and antagonizing everyone? Its obvious he wants this event to happen so wouldn't it be smarter to not bring attention to it from all your hate followers?

Brianna's name isn't on the FB page, and while I agree that calling this doxing is dumb and sharing the information is fine, its just the fact at who is asking people to call the event planner. I'm sure Brianna has much better things to do than be answering an influx of calls which will no doubt be hostile.

Am I the only one who finds it funny that he is all excited about this event, in which he is clearly in the range of "not permitted to enter" age. Because I would love to imagine him trying to convince someone that he is between the ages of 13-18 if he tries to attend.
Yaniv claiming to be trans-age when??

Agreed on this being bait. One possible angle is that he's mad about being denied entry or tried to work with them in some capacity and was rejected.

This is bizarre. He just had any semblance of being a decent human being handed to him by the rights court...An apology with excuse to a teenage girl he was perving on....& then tags himself in a teen pool party?

What is the purpose? If anything it's counter productive to his cause (he should distance himself from young girls)
Any attention it does bring him is negative.

I'm again thinking he may be a masochist ....Nothing else makes sense?
