There is a factor in JY's case that is absent from this woman's case, however: JY is an embarrassment to the politically powerful trans movement. While the mainstream media are attempting to ignore him, if left alone there is the danger that he will do something that can't be covered up. For example, if he won a lawsuit that set a significant precedent, or blew a hole in the city budget, it couldn't be ignored. I don't think he's competent enough to actually succeed at that even in ridiculously trans-favoring Canada, but it's likely a concern to somebody important in the trans movement. It would make sense to cut out any potential legal issues at the source by removing his ability to file frivolous and vexatious suits. Sooner or later someone will be induced to do it.
