I believe the kickstarter for "A Hat in Time"' started in 2013, way before kickstarters started gaining reputations for being massive fucking scams and when people were willing to throw money at anything.

They were whining about how another Japanese title had been culturally appropriated by the evilest of all people, the white man.

The Autism continued until it was pointed out that William was loosely based on an actual person, and the dev team of Nioh was pissed that GAF and friends were trying to fuck with something so inherent to Japanese culture, at which point Gaf tried to claim they never raised any objections against it.

They got played by their own tactic. It was great.

There was an additional, much smaller sperg-out they had over Fuku's DEM HIPS revealing outfit, but by this point the game had been out three months and was beyond GAF's reach to outrage-fest over. Nowadays the only thing they do is bitch about how relentlessly, ass-fuckingly difficult the game is.

You don't see the Japanese, as a whole, demanding reparations for shit like Hiroshima/Nagasaki and Internment camps, and this makes no sense to them because the other groups under their own banner never shut the fuck up about race and how Whitey owes them everything. The Japanese, as a whole don't give a fuck about identity politics and finds it to be fucking retarded, which is why increasingly, they see the Japanese as whitey 2.0. They won't submit to the cult, they defy the narrative, and they actively damage the identity politics bottom-line.

In a lot of ways, it's analogous to why they never discuss the Irish; they actively fuck over the oppression olympics by fucking existing.

Ah yes that does seem familiar now that you mention it if i recall though they didn't kick up a fuss over the Obsidian samurai who is also historically accurate but seeing as they don't care i find it interesting that they didn't whine about a black samurai...
