Considering he honestly believed it was a girl I think it just blew his mind and he was slowly and quietly getting a grasp on the situation. He was probably too baffled to be angry.

Isn't trolling by its very nature a game for the sadist? I mean, objectively speaking. For all the silliness dummies spout about how trolling is and should only be for getting content and/or "helping" Chris, at its heart... It's about laughing at a retard.

Granted I think Bluespike is a shit head, but I can't help but roll my eyes at the constant demonization (a-logging if you will). Blue was a stupid kid. He should be treated as such.

I believe that Chris's ability to recover from repeated trollings at that time was based on the health of his inner-narrative that a pretty girl was coming to rescue him. Part of this conviction may have been based in his faith in life being just like TV and movies, with their happy endings and lovable losers ending up with understanding babes, part of it was his ego-driven entitlement, and part of it was his ever-present and mounting desperation that something had to work out, because the likely reality was too hard to bear. Chris had been simply handed everything in life; if that were to suddenly stop without any sign of replenishment, it'd be a nightmarish shift for him.

As for Bluespike ... well, yeah, Julie Reveals Herself was sick. There again, so was the entire Julie trolling. Chris was cybering with a 13-year old boy. Sure, he didn't realize it - I tell myself he didn't realize it - but regardless, a man nearing 30 was having cyber-sex with an adolescent and sent him a video of himself having sex with a blowup doll. It began sick, it ended sick. So - who's to blame for this?

As ever, Chris and Borb. Bluespike was a child. He may have been a sick, twisted, monstrous, manipulative child, but he was still a child. What's more, during that call, Clyde admonishes Blue a number of times. I've found it intriguing how Chris's trolls tend to be somewhat reserved; there seems to be this strange code of honor that states that while it is okay to press CWC's buttons and send him into a frenzy, outright abuse is frowned upon. Considering that Chris could have been hit with wave after wave of Bluespikes and Joshua Martinezes, Chris got off rather easily.

When Chris went to Ohio and Julie wasn't there, that was okay. When he sent her his sex tape and it got leaked on the Internet forever and for all to see, that was okay. When he finally, FINALLY decided to check Google for Molvania, Julie, who'd almost blown her cover, fast-talked him out of it. Why did this happen? It happened because back then, Chris had the strength to keep pushing. He wanted to manifest his selfish, juvenile fantasy in real life. And between his limited perceptual capabilities, his profound stupidity, and his parents' poor handling of his safety, Chris would do whatever he could (or felt) to make his fantasy real. Including exposing himself to someone who was obviously a male child who barely raised his voice an octave when pretending to be a 19-year old woman.

I hate kids, and I absolutely hate 13 year old boys on the internet, namely because they are always trying to assert themselves in dumb ways...I guess I can't be shocked that BS did what he did, demeaning a grown man was an attractive proposition and it was in his nature. But that doesn't change what he did, and actually, that really shows how fucked up kids today are, if an average boy on the internet will devolve into a sick little monster given the opportunity.

I think the Julie saga was one of those worst case scenarios that really can't be justified for either party involved.
Surely we can all agree that at the age of 13, you do really shitty and shocking things to gain approval or just because it's funny at the time. Bluespike found an audience and ran with it. The cybering was a little disturbing, yeah, but what if it had been a legit female pulling the strings? Or an older male? I guess what I'm saying is that looking at the bigger picture, it isn't really that shocking that Bluespike would go through the trouble to get some laughs.
You also really can't blame Chris by saying he should've known better. Look at who we're dealing with: a socially inexperienced manchild with a mental handicap who thinks that for once in his life, someone is truly paying attention and fawning over him. Yes, everything explicit he does is extra gross, but we're still watching a slow-in-the-mind in action.
After the reveal, anyone else would be enraged and demand explanation. Chris just STRESS SIGHS and hangs up the phone defeated. What is he really gonna do?

I actually find the audio somewhat entertaining until Bluespike starts making messed up demands. Prior to that, it's just so... cartoonish in nature. The "EBay!" "No!" exchange gets a chuckle out of me every time. I guess I find it funny to listen to two children argue. All of the things Bluespike forces Chris to say are entertaining, in my opinion. Then he starts making sadistic suggestions about actions Chris should perform and things just go downhill.
