I could see Justin doing well at a job like that. Going to a job where all of your co-workers are normal while you're an autistic weirdo could be stressful. A job acquired through a program meant to help disabled people would probably have co-workers in a similar situation as him.

Justin isn't stupid and is in the boat of a lot of autists and lolcow types in particular where their ridiculous behavior online has rendered them unemployable but it's not like there isn't anything they could do. People like him deserve a chance.

It really depends on where he applies, what their needs are, and how he presents himself. If he’s coming off as completely incapable of autonomy, even low-level positions - WalMart included - won’t want him.

It’s a shame, too. I’ve seen guys with autism and aspergers get terminated from positions they loved doing and genuinely tried at because they just couldn’t tread water as well as everyone else. Justin seems like he’d be in this same situation given how gung-ho he is about finding employment. I truly hope he’s able to find and keep a job.

I actually hope he does get a job. It's easier for me to see Justin as harmless and he is capable of work I believe. Sure he's a creep online with his weird pokemon fetish but that wont make him assault kids or hurt anyone. I only think he can do menial work yes but I used to be a special education assistant for autistic children and he's way more capable than Chris IMO. Prolly cause his mom DID send him to special schools and got him the training he needed. Chris on the other hand? None of that. A LOT of autistics are capable of decent work, it's just so many of them get tied into this fandom crap. In all seriousness, while I do feel a bit bad for Justin, I can't really sympathize with him given he pretty much fucked himself over by not learning to keep his stuff private and it doesn't help that I'm sure that it's common knowledge that hiring people will come with background checks.

I see this get thrown around here a lot but by retardation standards Justin, Erik, and Chris are all in the high functioning range. Yes they're low functioning compared to, you know, normal people, but they're not even near the bottom of the 'tard barrel. They're literate, they understand money, they don't need to be supervised constantly (beyond making sure they're not being stupid on the internet), and Chris at least can drive. Their social skills are shit and their interests immature, but they're in no danger of running in traffic and drinking antifreeze.

Genuine low functioning retards are people who can't speak, read, write, or even give any indication they understand language at all. They have absolute zero ability to even attempt basic tasks, and have to be kept under constant supervision. In the middle you have people who struggle to write their own name but can understand simple language and manage (or at least attempt) to do basic tasks like get dressed.

Just finished keeping up with the thread and while I think (almost) everyone deserve a chance of having a good enough life, Justin really fucked himself up when he tied his irl name to his degenerate internet shit.
I know people as mentally stunted as Justin and while they are no CEO or professional athlete, they live decent enough lives without the need of a wrangler or the government.

Justin is high functioning enough (he can speak, write, read etc) so he can get a job and even keep it, the problem arises when a potential employer do a google search of his name and see all the shit he's into and been doing for years. It's a sad scenario for a person like him, who is trying to be independent and pay for his stuff instead of e-begging, but still...

I give Erik credit for actually being able to write, even if it's all word salad about preschool show characters watching short-lived defunct game shows and closed down store chains, or ranting about how much he hates his sister and her kids.
