Runs with set seeds are already a thing in Minecraft. If the speedrunner was concerned with the variance the random seed runs introduce they could just be running in a set seed category. These people would rather cheat instead because in their autismo minds they "deserve" the best time or something equally as retarded. They know exactly what they're doing and there's no excuse for their behavior.
I don't think I can properly express my disappointment the first time I saw a Minecraft "speedrun" where the runner used a specific seed that started him basically right on top of the final palace and close to the places where you got the items to bring there. He literally just dug straight down, got some shit, and used a glitch with the bed to KO the dragon in one hit.
