Apollo wasn't perfect, but he was a good dude and seemed to try his best. When he made a mistake, he seemed to be hard on himself about it and try to correct it. Was loyal to his friends. Not a scammer (that I'm aware of). A much better and more genuine person than Karl.

And that video literally says that Apollo would only ever make Karl look bad when Karl would need to make his own GoFundMe. Boy did that fucking age amazingly well.

I was a huge fan of Apollo back in the day, like, way back. There'd be 5-13 of us watching the Frogburt streams, I'd be one of them. Dude was a legend in my eyes; one who had too big of a heart, and too tiny of a mind. He was always accused of ignoring evidence, he just believed what he was sent without question. Stopped watching him in 2018 when the drama whoring started hitting a fever pitch, and when I no longer had time to watch speedruns or reviews of speedruns. I feel like if he was alive today, he could have gotten therapy and could have been okay offline, maybe got a job, a wife, couple of kids. He was all heart. What Karl has, Benjamin deserved the chance to one day get.

I did back the GoFundMe so I could watch the retard fight; I will always back GoFundMe's for creators I like, even if I think they're being retarded, specifically so I can see if they're actually going to do what they say they do. And I did get refunded, and Apollo did apologize meaningfully to his backers, and we did tell him he could pocket the money because there weren't many ways to donate to him anyway. I can't show too many pieces of my evidence without a dox or going through a bank account I no longer have, but rest assured; imho, he did right by us. We got the refund within 6 months of paying. Some of us sooner than others.

Let's see if Karl gets sued by his audience. The Apollo people were loyal and didn't mind, we saw it as money we'd want to donate to him anyway for his cheerier persona. I'm glad Karl's audience sees it for the scam it was.

I've been reading this thread as well as the lawsuit thread but I have to ask if there's a name for this sort massive fail lawsuit situation? Like a lolcow acting completely smug about full on winning and not considering a lose possible. Like I've seen less embarrassing loses happen a few times but nothing quite this embarrassing and bad. I propose it be called something like the Yobst effect: A lolcow acting so smug and arrogant over a legal case but they end up losing so severely that everyone sees them for the true retard they are.

Compared retards spending 8+ hours a day running the same 1/100th of a game, to shave off literal fucking frames, to being as equivelant or productive as making art or game assets.

Now keep in mind shaving those frames requires that the game will give you perfect patterns through all the runtime, which for many of them means you have something like one in a million chance for it to be perfect. It's the equivalent of flipping a coin 100 times in a row and being proud of coming up with all tails.

If I knew I spent this long playing the same fucking level on the same fucking game just to get a few frames under someone else's attempt, I'd just kill myself right then and there for the amount of time I've wasted on this shit.

And they have no fun doing it. Think about how pathetic that is and how mentally ill you have to be to keep at it.

He's certainly a standard deviation above norm, but high IQ does not prevent you from making clinically retarded decisions; it allows you to make smarter decisions that lower IQ people are not capable of intentionally.
