Yet here she is, clearly not used to the cat, and going out of her way to avoid Jasper jumping on her lap.

Between her massive weight gain, her mental processing speed on stream and sudden inability to drive to work, I wouldn’t be surprised if Khat is on some anti psychotics or mood stabilizers.

Phil probably heard the pharmacist say that the medication has a warning triangle and that she should be careful with driving if she experiences sedation or gets woozy from them. Phil of course understood that as: “And you shouldn’t drive, ever, ever, ever!”, gave a worried SNORT, and told Khat that he’d have to drive her.

I don't want to carry any torches for Khet but I believe her flinching as Jasper was on her lap was because Phil was going to grab him and was about to touch her. She interacted with Jasper fine before that.

Jokes aside, her hair and style probably is an adaptation she's developed because Phil's become a solipsistic, asocial hermit so wrapped up in his own neuroses that the only way to get him to let his guard down a little bit is to try to look and act exactly like he does. It's also possible she's just extremely uncomfortable in general because she doesn't want to be on stream and she doesn't really know how to conduct herself. Much like Phil, Khet just has some weird mannerisms that I'm sure are even worse when she's on camera. Neither of them really know how to act/speak/function like normal people, and it's a minor miracle they don't just both start T-posing and rocking back and forth.
