That's between her and Gym (Jim), Kohls (Cole), Tae-Bo (Tyrone), etc. Phil won't have a hand (or any other part of his anatomy) in it.

Oh, he'll have a financial hand in it, unless he's so broke by then that she jumps to her next paypig.

If Kat gets knocked up and doesn't run off, it isn't going to take a lot to convince/browbeat the king of gout into raising someone else's kid. Because Phil is that huge of a pussy that he'd continue panhandling to pay sunken costs on a broken, sexless, marriage. Trigger the trolls, own the trolls. To even question DSP Jr.'s paternity would be too much of an existential crisis for him, even if the kid was coffee-colored.

new theory

major medical complication with him or khet, considering he complained about a $500 hospital bill for khet recently, is that a normal bill for america?

That's roughly what a coworker paid for an abortion a few years back. Just throwing that out there.

LOL, yup. Low, if anything.

There's also the distinct possibility that Khet and Phail in their infinite wisdom splurged on an ambulance ride and/or ER visit for something that a competent adult would spend ~$50-100 on at an urgent care clinic.

An ambulance trip and ER visit would cost immeasurably more than just $500. My significant other had to take a little ride in the meat wagon to the ER, and even AFTER her kick-ass gov't insurance paid their portion, hers was still around $1800. Ain't no way in hell they only pay $500 for an amberlamps ride and an ER visit. Especially if you take into account his (allegedly) dogshit insurance and her possibly not having insurance through her employer or being on his (allegedly) dogshit insurance.

An idea how ridiculous it can get: I had to get just SIX(6) stitches on my arm and it was $2,000 USD without insurance. Needless to say I didn't go back to get them removed and did it myself.

He recently mentioned that he went to the hospital as Khet had an undisclosed medical issue. Paid $500 for that apparently.

I’m thinking the “very important news” are some health-related issues that his prized horse is currently going through.

yeah I think something is wrong with khet

she isn't working full time

works retail but had 2 weeks off during the busiest time of the year

had an exercise bike which suggested she was in bed recovering from something & got fat, the refund money wasn't used to buy another bike

dave had to drop her off at "work" and pick her up, at the time I assumed it was snow, OR was this chemo treatment, because as recent as yesterday he said where khet grew up she had a lot of snow just like CT so she should be used to driving in the snow

dsp still had khet prepare thanksgiving and christmas dinner, it wasn't home cooked like panda, so the "pre-made" shit suggests he/his parents had to make it easy/easier for her to cook

jasper has been spending a lot of time with her, cats usually sit with dying/sick people

So maybe not an ambulance, but even shitty insurance has around a $150 ER copay and the remaining $350 sounds about what you'd expect for someone who doesn't understand what kind of injury or condition constitutes a trip to the ER.

Dude, ER visits are ludicrously more expensive than just heading to a quick or urgent care. There's reports of people going to the ER for a bladder infection, where the patient pissed in a cup, and walked away with thousands of dollars in bills. So, even if she went in with so much as a sore big toe, she ain't getting out of there for less than a grand even with a $150 copay.

Remember that it's Phil throwing these numbers out so $500 USD is most likely not the real number.
I would tend to agree with this... My only hangup is how Phil completely overblows EVERYTHING. A $500 medical bill is reasonable, even for Phil. It is almost something he wants to sweep under the rug with a semi-normal amount. If it were him having gone to the hospital, it would be THOUSANDS UPON BILLIONS of dahllars in medical bills, so tip me. But, a measly $500? It's so small, comparable to what he'd normally beg about, that he would rather not have autists dig into it any further than they already do. And yet, here we are, theorizing about shit that nobody can confirm without him slipping up and showing a bill on a counter or someone committing a HIPPA violation.

There are also stories of people going to the ER for little ouchies and walking away with hundreds in bills for an evaluation and some Tylenol. You're telling me that doesn't scream DSP playing grownup to you?

No. Not in any instance. This is Phil. He's feast or famine all the time. Either something is so miniscule and throw away that it shouldn't matter to aluttapeepol (we went out to eat and it's not like it was expensive.... But in reality, they ate out 3 times that day and that shit adds up.) or it's so embellished that it's obviously bullshit (I had to take the day off because it was SNOWING! But in reality, it looked like a lightly powdered donut and I just wanted to not shtreem and show instasnap pictures from my hermit cave).

Phil and "playing grownup" are mutually exclusive.

I'm operating under the assumption that the bill is real and the delusion is that going to the ER for something like a sprained finger was the mature adult thing to do. There's nothing he could do dood.
