IMO he is using benzos to soften the side effects and comedown of the amphetamines. A sane psychiatrist would not prescribe stimulants and benzos together.
He is either buying RC benzos or he went to another doctor (ig GP) and got a benzo script. Most likely the latter since he mentioned he is taking nitrazepam which is prescribed for insomnia. Either way if his psychiatrist knew this they would note keffals down as "drug-seeking" and he would have a hard time getting prescribed anything harder than SSRI's and paracetamol.
