🎨 Artcow Ken Penders - Former Archie Sonic Comic Writer/Artist

His art is so unpleasant to look at, it's fascinating to me. Doesn't he realize how nightmarish his characters look? Don't the other pencilers or colorists ever say anything about it?
 
How did this take a decade to come out that was barely anything! What a waste of time jfc
 
it reads like a shitty star trek comic.

he had to rush this out. the timing is too close to the knuckles show to be a coincidence.
 
I tried to read it, but I got really confused on what's going on after like Lara-Su was floating through the space void half naked or whatever. He has a review on his website that just feels like it was written by himself, because it praises the hell out of this garbage.

I'd post it but it's a ridiculously long review.

All I understood is some sort of dimensional riff happened changing everyone's designs? Then she's just laying around whining about her Dad being missing/dead and also her slut aunt is there sometimes or something. Now that you mention it yeah I have no idea what the Hell happened.
It probably was conceived as a Star Trek storyline, I guess. I think he used Sonic as a dump site for shit that wouldn't fly in Star Trek.

Ken has always ripped Star Trek off when it came to Sonic or any of his "original ideas" so just assume it was a subconscious thing from him.

One of the things you hear about Ken is how good he is at drawing Humans, but I guarantee you that most of the characters in the Star Trek comics he illustrated were most likely traced from the shows.
 
This is spectacular. Congratulations to the folks who got in on a physical book. Treasure that weirdness forever.

I had been wondering how much legal right he had to reprint these and kind of wondered if that's why this took 10 damn years to release, but based on those tweets he's just going to assume he won't be sued and Sega/Archie won't care? I would assume the previous legal battle went the way it did because Archie wanted to be done with him any way possible. He's treading on some thin-ass ice here.
 
This is like some kind of disgusting version of Tails Gets Trolled. Every face is a meme face, but also too ugly and terrifying. Nothing funny or interesting is happening. They just keep talking about sci-fi and space crap. Then at the end there's suddenly pictures of these horrifying things lying around naked together and breast feeding. What kind of reaction was he expecting people to have to this?

You truly were a pioneer in Sonic fanfiction, Ken.

Personally, and I don't know if other kiwi artists have this problem, there's a weird disconnect between traditional and digital art. For some reason, my anatomy and sense of color get fucky if I'm coloring and drawing digitally. I wonder if the unlimited color selection fucked him over, because the white/black shading on everything is so awful.

I will find it hilarious if his pedostash looking ass WILL get sued for this, it'll be a hilarious piece of irony in a way.

For some reason, a lot of wannabe sci-fi authors prefer to have people talking about things having happened or going to happen, instead of actually having things happen. Limited creativity, I guess.
