The really weird thing about Ken Penders is that I have NEVER seen anyone with such a deluded ego outside of that guy who shot james Garfield cause he thought a random ass speech he literally originally made for another candidate got him elected.
Like, with the boingkid guy brought up earlier, sure, his comics don't have the best story or art, but you can definitely see some vestige of talent and cool ideas. There's nothing WRONG with the art, and the plot is a great deal less developed than I think a monthly-ish comic release should be at issue 2 (though that might be me being too used to weekly releases for manga and shit). But I think the castle with a sword running around is pretty cool.
I've seen MLP fans that are absolutely bonkers in their self importance as if their works are basically "required reading", and the whole self righteous civil war they had over a fucking shitpost nazi pony OC a few years back, but at least they do a good job of appealing to their fellow pony-lovers. Most of their stuff isn't really that great, as most people can tell from a glance, but it appeals to the very limited target demo, and it's not someone trying to make a professional career out of a B&B style plot out of a chaos god fucking a hippie so it's something.
Ken penders fails in all aspects. His art is bad, his plots are insane, and no fan of sonic likes his stories either,
