Manosphere Kentray "Kent" E Brown - Elliot Rodger The Second.

Haven't watched it yet, but that title's a bit worrying.

Kent sounds at his most depressed since I started following the guy--he event made the video black and white to help get across the hopelessness!

But in all seriousness, it does sound pretty concerning. He talks a lot about how he feels everything is particularly hopeless, and that he's about to give up, though he tries be vague as to what, "Giving up," entitles. He says this will probably be his last video for a 'while,' and that he's thinking he'll probably go through and delete his Instagram, and all other content of him EXCLUDING YouTube, which he says he intends to keep. I don't know to trust him on not deleting YouTube, so this is a good time to archive everything. He talks a number of times about how he won't go on a rampage and hurt anyone, though he often in between talking about how he won't hurt people, he goes on rants about how sick humans are, and how much hatred and disdain he has for humanity as a whole. He talks about some personal drama happening, personal drama that he won't say anything about. And to be honest, I believe him that something happened, he's always the depressive whiny baby that he is, but this video seems particularly out of the blue. He even mentions considering just packing up and leaving, going anywhere else that isn't where he is now, though good luck with that since he has no income or work experience prior. Considering he's always seemingly avoided talking about his parents in any capacity, I've got the impression he may have a strained relationship with them, and something bad happened between Kent and his parents recently. He mentions a particularly worrying statement that he made a year back, in which he said he won't be alive in five-years time. Now being a year ahead, he's corrected the statement to four-years. He mentions suicidal impulses at points in the video, and towards the end, he mentions doing something 'terrible' that he doesn't want to talk about...For about five seconds, until he admits he's been considering harming himself again. I'm legitimately worried about him, since he mentioned his most recent suicide attempt was in February, and I believe the one before that one was September of 2014. Given his depressive and seeming suicidal tendencies, and he's had two within not even a year's time, I think there's actually a chance Kent may try to kill himself again. The way he seems to sign it off feels particularly like a goodbye, though this may just be because he plans to stop doing videos for a while.

I'm actually thinking about contacting his local police and letting them know that he might be in danger. I don't have his address, but I do have his full name. Do you guys think that's a good idea, or no? I'm actually kinda worried for him.

It's always hard to say with people online, as the likes of ADF and Dobson prove that people are all too willing to suicide bait for attention and sympathy... That said, Kent does have two suicide attempts within not even the last year on his record, and the spacing between them, September 2014 - February 2015, would be about five months. Coincidentally, it's been about five months since February, so I do think there's a real possibility so. It certainly wouldn't hurt to inform some authority, I really wish we had any idea who his parents are and some way of trying to reach them, or at the least I hope they're aware of his videos and look at them to watch out.

So yeah, if you could, it would probably be a good idea. Better safe than sorry, and I'm legitimately worried at this point.

Kent doesn't really seem to be out for sympathy. Despite the "woe is me" attitude present in all his videos, he doesn't really seem to be out to get asspats so much as to just give himself an outlet to speak. I think he does see a psychiatrist, or at least a therapist, and my guess is that they only know about half of this stuff. I'm sure he tells them about how he feels like a "reject," and stuff like that, but I'm sure that we, his audience, know more about his mental state than the professional(s) he sees.

Kent once before deleted his channel after making a super depressing video where he also hinted about thinking about committing suicide. Even if Kent deletes his channel, I think he will come back after a small break. This is what he has done in the past. Also, consider the fact that Kent enjoys making Youtube videos. I think the reason why he likes making these videos, besides venting, is that he finally has a way for his voice to be heard. Kent doesn't seem to have any real friends who would be willing to listen to his problems, it doesn't sound like his parents do so either, so I think Youtube is really his only outlet to express the emotional and psychological pain that he's going through. Perhaps he has told this to his psychologist, but it doesn't sound like that person is a therapist.

On top of that others who have talked to Kent in private, like the Youtuber named, "It's Jay", have admitted on Youtube that Kent enjoys the attention that he receives from the videos that he makes. That's why I think Kent will always come back, because he's addicted to Youtube now.

I think Kent will eventually leave from Youtube. It might be through suicide, finding new hobbies or finally realizing his dream of getting a job and girlfriend.

I guess you could try requesting a welfare check, although I don't know how effective that might be. One problem is whether or not the police will take your claim seriously. Your best shot with that is to somehow show them some of his videos that display his suicidal thoughts. Another problem though is even if they check up on Kent, he will obviously try to act like nothing is wrong with him. If Kent is suicidal, the police cannot place him into a mental hospital against his will unless he is considered to be dangerous to others, which there is no proof that he is.

If you are going to try, you can point out that he goes to Solano College in Fairfield. I'm not really sure how you can pull this off while being anonymous. I don't think it will work. If you just say that you watch his videos, I don't think they will take you too seriously. Definitely it is not worth it to lie to the police by trying to pose as Kent's classmate or friend. That is too risky because I am sure your cover will be blown once they ask you for your full name and address, for record-keeping purposes. Also, I'm sure it's illegal to give false information to the police. If you do decide on reaching out to the police, be sure to tell us how that goes.

I actually did call them earlier today, but didn't get anybody. The lady that apparently answers the phone wasn't in, and the recording said she wouldn't be back until Monday. I just hung up without leaving a message, and didn't call the emergency number because, while I AM concerned for him, I didn't really wish to call that number with "oh, I saw this guy on YouTube, and his videos kind of worried me." I can't give them an address, nor can I really give them any evidence that he's a danger to others, so I just kind of decided to wait 'till Monday and see what happens.

I have no doubt Kent will come back to YouTube and social media in general, I think he's too much of a a narcissist not to. Just look at how he blames absolutely everything but himself in his videos. Kent is the good guy persecuted by a terrible, evil world. That said, he has had two previous suicide attempts, the latest being five months ago. Not only that, but he lost his grandmother recently, in addition to the Lids job probably upsetting him a great deal. Given how much he obsesses over hats, he's probably fantasized about working there for years. He has enough of a history of suicidal tendencies and actual attempts for me to have some reasonable concern that he could attempt it this time.

Have you noticed that ever since his grandmother died, his tone of voice has become more somber? Like, it used to be that he'd get that somber tone every now and again, but now it's become the norm.

did you call fairfield or suisun city? i agree that a welfare check might not be a bad idea for kent, and he's definitely known to the local pd.

i wonder how he would interpret that, though... like, the idea of cops showing up to check on him based on his youtube videos. would he process that it means people care about him and are worried for his safety? or would he just dismiss it out of hand?

I called Suisun County. I'm pretty sure that's where he lives.

well, it's all in solano county

suisun city is a smaller city next to fairfield, which spans most of the area surrounding the suisun area. kent went to rodriguez high, which is a fairfield school. note that it is now technically the fairfield-suisun unified school district, so i assume suisun kids could be going to rodriguez, but if you look at it on a map it's a little less clear why he'd be doing that.

it's basically impossible to get an address on him, though, so he could really live anywhere in the area

Edit: Well, I think I have a decent idea where he lives now, but it's probably best for me to keep this information to myself. I forgot that there are randoms who read this thread.

Nope. I only saved a few things. What do think is worth saving from there?
Do you have the "dead grandmother" post? I'm not able to see his Instagram, because it's set to "followers only," and I don't have an IG account to follow him with.
