He does not have hearing loss. By Wedge's own admission, his hearing terminates at no more than 10db, termination at >20db is required to diagnose hearing loss. If you can't hear things that are 10db in any given frequency that is considered normal hearing range.

Yeah, I believe we determined a while back that Wedge is just within the lower bound of the range of normal hearing (with possible involvement of autism-related auditory processing issues, though that might also just be another LARP).

Both Wedge and Neck come from religious backgrounds, though. Neck was just plain old Mormon – it was Wedge who came from some weird cult that I think we kinda sorta narrowed down but couldn't identify conclusively.
