I watched both Soft White Underbelly interviews in full and those Adam 22 clips posted in the OP (her discomfort around those two sleazeballs in particular is palpable). What strikes me is, at least in the SWU videos, she is fairly well-spoken. She's clearly at least smart enough to recognize she's not mentally well and has thought a lot about why she's doing what she's doing. Specifically, in the first SWU interview, Orylan says she does not want her younger sisters to follow in her path and is encouraging them to do anything but that. She knows the OF shit makes her miserable. At least at that time, it shows that she really loves her sisters.
Another thing I picked up on is her complete denial/cognitive dissonance regarding her attention-seeking behaviors. She claims in the first SWU interview that her tattoos and lifestyle are a way to show that anyone can be normal despite their appearance. She says she doesn't want attention. It's obviously the total opposite. Her not wanting to go on the "hamster-wheel" and work a normal job while also looking like that makes her anything but normal. At about 9:40 in the SWU interview, Orylan says, "I don't personally wanna live my life looking like everybody on a street. I don't wanna look like that. I don't wanna be passed by on the road." Four minutes later in the same video she then says, "It's definitely not a call for attention." Which is it, Orylan? It can't be that you want people to stare and ask about you and then not want attention at the same time.
She's also in denial about how abused she was by her mother, father, and the creepy men that took advantage of her when she was still a child/young adult. Her body-mods are her subconscious way of screaming, "LOOK AT ME! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME!"
Her Only Fans decline and the whippets seem to have taken away the last of her mental stability. She's fascinating because she is so tragic. There is no more fitting a tag for her than "Trainwreck." Chances are slim, but I hope she gets help and figures herself out before it's entirely too late.
Well done on the OP, very detailed and organized. Like others said this is a very sad case of someone diving into body modifications as a form of self harm, but I am excited to see where it goes.

I feel bad for her, to be honest. Growing up with an untreated mental illness means being robbed of a stable relationship with yourself and the world by your own body, and it takes time, effort, and a lot of pain to manually and intentionally build something most people get for free. I'm not here to wk, milk away, but I do hope she gets her brain chemistry in order at some point in her life.
Stories like this are why I feel EBME folks are legitimately mentally ill and it is sad.. A little body modification is alright but damn when you're tattooing your eyeballs, shaving down your teeth, and getting injections into your hands; you have a problem and you need some help.

Glad I did though, well done OP. I’m on the sympathy side of the equation. It seems like she was meant to be a naive Christian blonde Texan girl waiting to get married. Diving into body mods seemed like a reaction-and being young - she didn’t think much about the permanence. Having so much done in such a short time frame at such an early age shows how impulsive it was.
During her SWU interview she seemed really young for her age. Kind of innocent, like she was playing a role of stripper/sex worker. To me it seemed that she was already very conflicted-she says she is normal, don’t see her as strange, she likes the way she looks but don’t judge her, she’s a nice Christian girl.
Also the one she did with that porn guy. She actually seemed terrified to talk to those people. She could barely talk about sex. The guy later said something about understanding because he has a daughter? He caught on to her vulnerability.
At some point, she realized indirectly, or unconsciously, that maybe this wasn’t the life for her. Most young people put on roles for a while but then come to who they really are, but she couldn’t get out of it because she’d already changed her appearance so much she had no choice but to dive in. She doesn’t want people to see her as this demon ugly body mod person but there she was, she’d gone too far. She was being trolled by her real clan, the normies, and now forever has to live as a weirdo outcast since it’s not reversible. She is forced to live that kind of life that she really wasn’t meant for, and it drove her crazy.
Not saying she was mentally stable at the start because even teens can grasp the future, but essentially she turned her fixable crazy into real forever crazy by abusing her outward appearance and her brain with drugs, and can never go back to what she should have been. At least, that’s the way I see her.

As an aside, I think that Soft White Underbelly dude is close to being a cow himself. Exploitive, and is starting to snap at detractors, and seems to be in love with a homeless junkie dude named Rebecca/Ishmael.

This is what happens when bipolar patients stop taking their meds. (Which is very, very common, although given the hell that is withdrawal I don't understand it) She doesn't need to have been molested, both hypersexuality and other bad judgments (in her case tattoos and body modifications) are classic in mania. even when not manic bipolar disorder fucks with your judgment. Shitty employment history, tons of debt, drug/alcohol use, gambling, anger issues: all symptoms of undiagnosed or untreated bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder is generally a nightmare to have and to live with in a partner/loved one. Even with proper medication things like anger issues flare up, causing lasting damage to relationships.
I wouldn't be surprised if her bipolar disorder was classified as severe, given her general state of, well, everything.

I know others have mentioned the weight gain, but I wanted to give you guys a clear comparison of how much bigger she's gotten.
I couldn't help but think, "Wow, she looked so much prettier before," even though she was still covered in ink. In the second pic (from the 3rd SWU interview), she says she went from 125 to 180 pounds after she was hospitalized. A 55-pound weight gain in such a short amount of time in insane (personally, I think she's a little bigger than 180, but I guess it would depend on her height). The weight makes it obvious how terribly she's damaged herself that much more obvious. It ain't just whippet bloat. I'm sure it's another way she's subconsciously protecting herself from being sexualized (and also brain + body damage from the whippet abuse).
