Mike Judge has brought back Beavis and Butthead half a million time and I've always enjoyed the new seasons so despite being skeptical of how modern KotH is trying to be, I trust that it'll still be good.
Imagine having a whole fucking arc devoted to the fact that Nancy goes back to Dale and Redcorn is a piece of shit and having it all revert back like its nothing.
Chill out, libtard. He's just her massage therapist.

Mike judge is 100% the only.guy that could do this well and faithfully and without him being in charge it would be pointless. However he is getting old and there is a good chance the show will be out of touch at points.

I have little hope for the "political and social commentary" sections. I just want Bobby to be done well and I want him to feel older and like he's actually progressing in life, and given that he's going to have a Japanese restaurant it makes me wonder if his grandpa cotton will have been his inspiration in any way. Technically he has a Japanese uncle.

I want Bobby and Hanks relationship to be done really well, it's probably because I watched the show with my dad growing up.

I care less about the rest of it but I would be extremely happy if it was a good show.
The "show runner" is a black guy named Saladin, idk how much involvement Judge actually has on this.

Either way, Sonarr+Plex and I'll judge if slop with nothing to lose but time.

'm skeptical of this new series's quality but the retards posting "THEY'LL PROBABLY MAKE BILL A TRANNY AND HANK WILL SUCK A BLACK COCK WHILE TELLING YOU TO VOTE FOR KAMALA" need to go back to your muttposting and BLACKED threads. It'll be inoffensively boring at worst. Mike Judge is friends with fucking Alex Jones for Lord's sake.
I expect a lot of shoved-down-your-throat political crap that fails to understand the appeal of the original run.

Is there a lot of winter snow in Texas? Isn't Arlen supposed to be close to the Mexico border?
There was that freak winter storm that killed power and burst pipes for like a good chunk of texas a few years back.

One thing I'll say. Beavis and Butthead when it came back was pretty damn good.
I hope they carry forward with KoTH and don't make it gay.
Please don't make it gay.

I forgot the ATX festival happened, saw some phone recorded footage of the preview they showed but was unable to save it. Hope someone else has it because I can't find it again. It was new content, not the trailer on YT.

I don't get the whole "Moved to Saudi Arabia" part. That just seems extremely out of nowhere, to the point of stupidity.
That's what is making me weary of the show. It's way too nonsensical for King of the Hill. I also get feeling there's going to be a lot of out of date references to random shit that will be the main focus of entire episodes, mainly Hank struggling to figure out [insert relatable thing] after returning

Toby Huss is pulling off a passable Dale.

Is this Dusty Old Bones Caleb grown up?

And trades guys going overseas (Russia, Saudia Arabia, etc.) is pretty common, even for guys cut from the cloth of Hank. Money seems to be a motivating factor and those jobs tend to pay well.

This is what AI had to tell me about propane and Saudi Arabia:

Expertise in propane is not just valuable, it is critically important and highly sought after in Saudi Arabia.

Someone with deep knowledge of propane—from its chemical properties and processing to its market dynamics and industrial applications—possesses knowledge that aligns directly with Saudi Arabia's core economic activities and future ambitions.

So, Mike Judge did his homework. I was not aware how important propane/LPG are and will be to Saudi Arabia.

Yeah, I dunno about propane specifically, just that I have friends and family who are in various trades who have hopped overseas to make stacks. Granted, I thought Hank was 'just' a salesman (albeit a passionate one), but the idea of a conservative dude going overseas isn't farfetched to me.

Set to release August 4th.

“After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.”
While I have reservations about bringing back a show that ended over a decade ago, the fact that Mike Judge is still at the helm makes me cautiously optimistic. Both times Beavis & Butt-head were brought back (2011 and 2022) the show was great, so I'm willing to give this a chance. Hopefully they don't fuck it up.

RDrama.net bringing some interesting developments.

  • Jonathan Joss (John Redcorn VA) shows up to a live show with much of the cast.
  • He was not invited. Claims to have literally brought his shine box to the theater to shine shoes for $5.
  • Apparently he has been homeless after his house burned down approximately one year ago.
  • Typical reddit arguments over if he is on drugs, the fire water, or simply "mentally unwell"

Hank basically runs Strickland Propane and is only curtailed to the job of assistant manager due to Buck being Buck. His knowledge and expertise of propane far exceed his position and education.
He was even able to convince the Silver Surfer to switch to propane showing that he has the know how to improve a board with near-limitless speed by tapping into its potential.
