King of the hill appreciation thread - Yup.

I think killing Dale is too dark. Best thing to do is just write him out in a funny way. Maybe he's meditating with Yogis in Tibet and Nancy occasionally gets a postcard with a gag on it. Maybe he paid his way onto an Ethiopian jungle expedition looking for the lost kingdom of Prester John.
Or have him actually become a soldier of fortune. Yeah, turns out he was actually good at it all along and is even now in the jungles of South America kicking the absolute shit out of cartels for pay by local villages. Even have his exploits appear in newspapers as a gag.

"Mysterious mercenary "Big D" single-handedly topples Columbian cartel" on the front page of a newspaper Hank is reading.

The best way would be that he really catches onto a real conspiracy, a big one, and he's taken out. Something that plays into his character and interests. You outlined the worst case scenario though lol
That actually could be a great 2 part season finale or something.

Dale goes missing early in the season and nobody really thinks anything because, hey, it's Dale. But eventually they get worried and start looking for him, and find a note he left in case he didn't come back, and they all have to investigate and avenge his death.

Realistically speaking.. They could probably do his voice with AI for an episode or two to accomplish this. I'm not saying it would be good, but eh.. better than nothing.

Isn't it wildly accepted that no one likes Peggy Hill?
Some people defend the character because "She's SUPPOSED to be a narcissist know-it-all!" but that really doesn't make her more likable. I mean, did you see the look on her face when she suggested the shitty name Propane Maniacs and Bobby suggested the far superior name Propaniacs?

Seriously, what kind of person gives their child that look because they thought of a better idea? And even when EVERYBODY else likes the name Propaniacs better Peggy still stubbornly calls them the Propane Maniacs because she's absolutely convinced that any idea she comes up with must be the best. She's an insufferable egotist and frankly any episode where she ends up getting knocked down a peg (pun intended) is automatically one of my favorites.

The show is pretty lighthearted but it's had its heavier moments. I think they could pull it off, but just sending him away won't really work like it would for secondary characters imo.

Turanga Leela and Francine Smith >>>>> Peggy Hill
Lela yes, Francine no. She doesn't really have much of a character, Peggy is unlikable but she's more defined. I've watched plenty of American Dad and couldn't tell you shit about her personality.

Former crazy party girl whom for whatever reason tries to behave like a traditional 50s housewife for her conservative husband.
Prone to empty nest syndrome, so is indulgent of children, including the alien.

No idea if anyone else thinks so, but I genuinely think Peggy is what Barb Chandler was like when Chris was younger, possibly until quite recently.
Not identical, but the same kind of insufferable egoist who thinks she is always right.

Don't forget a stoner daughter's stoner husband as well as a German loser fish.

Klaus really deserves being shat on, even moreso than Zoidberg, Meg or Bill.
For sure.

Zoidberg has fucked alien standards, so just bumbles along not really knowing any better, Meg is just the "victim" of some shitty writing, and Bill is pathetic, but he is a real kind of pathetic.
If Hank really cared about Bill in the right way, he would have just "taken him to see the rabbits" years ago.
