Clint doesn’t do more because Clint is a retard who’s intimidated by his son. It’s really all their is to it. Clint tries to get Josh to do something, Josh blows a gasket with a tantrum and Clint backs down. All his excuses and seeming acceptance of Cobras actions boil down the the fact that he’s intimidated by the goth badboy. He’d rather get dunked on for being an enabler, or turning a blind eye and letting his son rot away than people clue into the fact the reason he doesn’t step in is because he’s afraid.

Seriously think about it, it makes much more sense as the answer to any “Why does/doesn’t Clint [blank]” question. He’s afraid. Josh has bullied and intimidated his own dad into an enabler. Clint is the type of guy that if his kid started throwing a tantrum in Walmart because he said he wouldn’t buy him a toy He’d cave immediately and buy the toy so they’d stop making a scene.

He takes him to dentist appoints when he doesn't have to, he encouraged and got him to go to therapy, he made him go to Jobcorp to learn basic work skills, he helps/helped him ship his wands another thing he really didn't have to do, he STILL invites him to family trips despite him reeking like shit and getting blackout. If Clint doesn't love Josh and is waiting for him to die why does he go out of his way to do all these things?

If Cobes accidentally dies in the next few years I think there is like a 70% chance Clint blames the trolls for whatever infection or fall kills him.

I'm not entirely sure what you could even do with Cobes. Clint obviously loves him and is doing what he thinks is the best but at the end of the day Cobra is an asshole that'll do what he wants. The whole, "Muh pufferz is just in a hole and I'll get him back in the spring" delusion was probably something Clint leaned into to get him to shut up. Meanwhile it's also the reason he can't drag the boglim into the dentist because once again, muh pufferz.

Clint actually did push for Josh to go to a group home years ago right before he moved out. If I'm remembering correctly it was either go to Jobcorp and then get a job or go to a group home. He went to Jobcorp got kicked out for smoking weed then got a job.

This is all good in theory, the problem is that if the whole family happens to come on hard times, the BOY's door dash spending gets too egregious, or even if just God willing he gets booted out of the crack-shack by the landlord finally losing patience with him, he hopefully will have to finally move back in with papa Clint, and Clint will absolutely fucking despise him when this happens, they can barely stand him for 5 days~ (?) of thanksgiving, imagine perpetuity.
The potential for content would be so strong, I just imagine Josh back in his probably now refurbished basement room, accompanied by screaming matches and an environment of pure filth that can only be compared to a corruption aura emanating off him, all culminating in him finally being booted out the door into the harsh real world.
