I think Cobes would say that he has a ton of friends, but I doubt a single person that he names would ever consider him as a friend. I think others would consider Cobes as an acquaintance.

It's a mixture of things -

1) Image - He wants to project a image of Badboy and he's combined that with drinking very early on in his mind so he does it all the time. He genuinely hates the taste of booze but disguises it with his drink combo's as best he can and when get can't like he's mixed it to heavy he gags.

2) ODD - He's being told to NOT drink so he will dig his heals in and drink just to piss people off (Clint mostly) and feel like he's making the decision in that regard he's rather easy to manipulate tell him to do the inverse of what you want him to do and he will do it or keep doing what he's doing to try and piss you off.

3) Addiction to altered state of mind - This is a big one about 100+ page back I posted some stuff about people who are on the spectrum getting into substance abuse as it activates sensations or feelings they don't normally have access too or turns off the parts of there mind they do want to turn off, it's kind of a vicious cycle it starts off normally as an occasional thing but becomes more and more frequent.

4) Self medication - This ties into #3 but he's got more wrong with him than just being Autistic, likely some form of schizophrenia (from a layman's POV at any-rate) his biological mum has it and when he really started going off the rails he was about the right age for it to develop and Clint's said as much and the Trapped guy's have said no he was like that all the time not just when the camera's where on. If he's having intrusive thought's he can't manage he may be trying to shut them up with Booze and Drugs.

It's not just one thing that makes him an alcoholic it's a sad and dangerous mix of things that have lead him to this point.

Yes he does, but it's bad he didn't possess great penmanship beforehand but it has got much worse. He's got a very feminine looping hand style that takes over a lot of space a standard A5 page he can get about 1/3 of it filled with his style the average line space internationally is 5/16 or 8mm on a good day he uses 3 lines - I think part of this is down to vision problems but his fine motor skills are shot.

I've tried replicating his style at the end and I just couldn't do it justice, it's a kind of weird semi capitalised script that's rather jagged where he tries to use some elements of Copper Plate / Spencerian script but fails to do so because he writes with his whole hand rather than with his finger tips.
