I used to think the downy Walmart greeter was just a good nature kid. The bagger at the supermarket may look 40 but had the innocent mind of a 10-year-old. My neighbor's 30-year-old downy kid, who beats his meat on his backyard swing-set, just wanted to play with the neighbors' kids in the pool. It never dawned on me that they still have the sex drive but not the intellect to manage it.

Cobes functions just enough that he almost seems normal but then you listen to his shit. He has the brainless selfishness of a retard paired with a single-mindedness (sex) that is a little disturbing. I find it a little reminiscent of Chris Chan -- an adult body with a retard brain. I'd have loved to see more of his insight during the fast-talking "Dyke era", how his brain worked from what little we got from the "Guitar insite" videos and the Trappped doc was a fascinating perspective, something we will never get again with the damage the alcohol and paint fumes have done to him now.

It'd probably require him being drunk, but between the few drunken meltdowns we've seen and his "mysterious" bloody and bruised knuckles all of the time, I actually do think, given the right circumstances, he's now devolved to the point where he might take a swing at a woman if set off.

He has a helleva temper I bet. I doubt those bloody knuckles come from fighting people as opposed to putting holes in walls. It’s obvious he has some weird inferiority complex. His drunken rants are always the most telling.

I do think if anyone would get smacked around by him it would be a woman. You can hear his obvious frustration when he’s not in White Knight mode. “I’ve been nice to them and they still reject me!”, seems to be a common rant.

Really is a tragedy - people always talk about how inhumane the "funny farms" were but honestly I think it's even worse the way it is know where people deemed 'unfit to participate in society' (rightly or wrongly) are just given NEET-bux so that they stay out of the way. Almost 100 times out of 100 they just wind up destroying themselves with drugs and other vices. I mean what else are you going to do without a job or project to work on? It's not like you're going to have an opportunity to buy property or build a family. There's nothing to do but rot and it's really sad to watch.

Of course the counter-argument is that "they do it to themselves" which is true, but giving disabled people like Chris and Cobra an allowance and pretending like they don't exist creates a social hazards because now these people are just on drugs touching computer all day, which not only creates the Janny menace, but also (seriously) creates a ton of child predators who have an unlimited amount of time to play video games and groom your children online. Social isolation is dangerous for regular people, and even more so for the mentally incompetent.

You can prepare against criminals, since they act somewhat logical and predictable. Dumb people or strong retarded, disabled can act very unpredictable, since the adult mindset of doing things for a certain goal is not in them.

So if you can, stay away from dumb people. They may surprise you with foolish but unpredictable behaviour.

ALLEGEDLY (I can't find the source and am going off the not always accurate subreddit), his tendency to chub up his Cobra and brush it against Of Age women in bars actually started in HS when he would do it to girls busy fumbling in their lockers.

Could be bullshit, but there's this blurry era in high school where "something happened" with women he alleges teased him, a grey area where it's not entirely clear if he graduated (given Job Corps is generally for drop outs, he could have flunked or even been thrown out), and then had it beaten into his head he needed to "wait patiently". Though I have no direct evidence, it seems the most likely either actually touching women, or gave people the idea he was going to touch women, got expelled as a result, and then Homedad had to work his magic.

Someone had to stack cordwood and the blacksmith needed someone to man the bellows. We just don't have anything to do for subnormals today. In the days before managed currency and SSDI, people like Cobra didn't "join the military" or "get it together" - a lot of them literally starved to death (something that seems like a joke because it straight up doesn't happen these days but was an actual reality for a shit ton of depression era Hobos) or were wrangled into "funny farms" where they would basically work in chain gang labor camps in exchange for food and shelter. I'm honestly starting to think both of these options would be more humane (in a way at least) than the current situation with SSDI.

Lets be honest, at this point there's no way Cobra could even get a job if he wanted one, let alone hold it. Sure he could probably get a job working at a warehouse or something but he would need to get sober, shave his head, start bathing properly/regularly, and buy normal clothing (and actually wear them daily). Even then I'm sure he would get fired within the first week.

I still kind of think had Cobra stayed medicated and had some kind of supervision/medical/emotional support and care earlier on he could have for sure grown up to be a functional member of society but we're not in that timeline....

I'm 100% convinced that if Cobra were for some reason to lose access to his SSDI payments, he would be more than happy living as a hobo. Honestly it would not be such a big change really - he already drinks and smokes weed/does drugs all day and eats literal garbage. Plus all of the people he hangs out with are basically as close as you can get to being homeless without actually being homeless. The people in Cobra's life would basically be the same he just wouldn't have the apartment.

The hypothetical theoretical homeless saga would probably leave Cobra dead in a few years (if not a few months) but thinking that forcing Cobra off of SSDI would somehow magically force him to "get it together" is completely delusional. He could not do it even if he wanted to (which he doesn't).
