Oh I don't do any archival footage gathering anymore, so many people do it for the rest of us now. Just a simple OBS screen recording will suffice, though.

yt-dlp is the best solution for videos ATM. Not sure if there is a good solution for ongoing streams (that will be purged or not saved).
There is an experimental "--live-from-start" option for yt-dlp though.

The easiest way to get it is probably to install python (3!) and install it with the included package manager:

pip install yt-dlp

Genuinely do not want him to get a win. If this was like 3-5 years ago then yeah he was okay. His cooking videos were fun to watch and his ramblings were sorta entertaining.
