Orrrrr... and here me out. All those people that used to orbit him, are dead, or in jail, or on their way to jail, or addicted to meth/crack, possible zoophilia the list goes on really.
I'm not saying that your theory is true. It probably is. But as someone who orbited alot of similar places and niches as cobes. There's a chance the reason you don't see those people is because there lives are entirely more fucked than cobes and always have been. And with the exception of a few of em, most of em were just hanger ons anyone. Drying to get their next drink trying to get a bite to eat, or a smoke, or shit just a place to sit inside.
With the exception of Mr Green. Absolutle everyone in cobras personal universe has some sort of fucking social issue they struggle with. As you go down the line often they get more fucked up as you go. We know this. One committed an actual serious crime against a real human. And is in jail now. Maybe not the closet in the cobraverse but it's just the point I'm making.
Josh is pretty tamed compared to alot of the people he used to hang around with/still does. Now more ever that he's only options are making friends with section 8 crack den dwellers. Some good people sure regardless cobes is pretty lowkey.
I don't think that he became to revolting. I think he dosent have anything to give em anymore besides his last bud light platinum and slow cooked steak. Maybe that in itself is revolting. But honestly I think alot of the people that don't come around, don't come around because their lives are real and worse. They don't have rhe opportunity to sit drunk 24/7 in their dead dogs chair. Again some of em homeless, in and out of jail, addicts, disabled etc, don't matter they just in a worst place than cobes. Some of em might not even be alive anymore, the way that life style goes, all things considered.
That's my opinion btw. And a perspective I don't think a lot of people in the cobraverse don't see. Josh is not model human or anything close to admirable. But it could be worse, way worse. And I don't think him smelling bad is what's keeping people away atleast not entirely. I think alot of these dudes just have no option to come chill with cobes cause their lives are so much more fucked up than they were the last we saw of em.
