She seems to resent him or something, always saaying stuff under her breath about what he says etc.

I just can't shake the feeling that she's going on and on about how ugly she is because of some offhand comment that her BPD ass determind MUST be about her and how ugly she is, and now expects Cobes to sit there for the next however many hours, and "validate" her out of her miserable mood by telling her "nooo you're so pretty" every time she calls herself ugly, because that's how it's worked with every other dude. And the fact that he doesn't, and we just hear whatever he's watching in the background is the sweetest music to my ears (like that one clip of her getting felted when she says "I hope you know how much I love you, jawshee" and he responds with "I do, and I appreciate it".... the silence before he talks about how great the sushi was is WILD. I could see/hear/feel her eyes on him during that entire silence)

That might be the case, but the "I'm ugly" rant is one she goes on often, along with "I didn't ask to be born".

Hearing Josh hanging out with another guy, chatting without anxiety and giving his over the top Joker laugh is actually wholesome after how dark and Lynchian things got there for a while. I hope he has a good night and Jessica doesn't sabotage it somehow to get the attention back on herself.

Edit: and right as I say that she starts crying and lays down on the kitchen floor.
