He seems to think you need to put oil or butter in the pan for everything, which is crazy considering bacon is more than half fat. The blackness isn't even from the bacon being burnt, it's from the country crock burning before the bacon can cook.

Some recipes do have you rendering the bacon in fat before adding more ingredients (like soups and chowders) but it needs to be a lower heat than Cobes obviously had it.

true, but to get slices of bacon the way cobes wants it he should put water in the pan instead of butter. It will help conduct the heat better and prevent it from getting too crispy.

Not familiar with this channel, but I've recently been rewatching old snake bones episodes, and in one episode Chauncey points out how cobra likes to steal other youtuber's catchphrases. The BBQ Pit Boys' "get you a bite" was an example.
