I will start the clint bad dad loop I do not care. I maintain my position that he is a failure and his public cringe embarrassment is a perfect example. Josh is incredibly stupid, and very retarded. However he was perfectly capable of being molded into a retard who could have supported himself by working a terrible job with his tugboat to supplement his living conditions. Wonder why Josh says inappropriate things to ethots on facebook? His only and most important male role model, his father, does it. He's married with children and a teaching job, people like him, so surely it must be ok to do.

Josh is also incredibly gullible, so gullible that he believes the commercials about sugar pills that turn you into a body builder and soap that casts a magic spell on women so they want to sleep with you. You are telling me you cannot beat the mental wizard Josh Saunders at brain checkers and taught him a work ethic? Instead Clint used that gullibility to make him believe he was an alien. He also set him up in his own apartment away from parental control as soon as Josh wanted, sure Josh became an adult at 18 but without Clint he would have failed. This is only 2 years after he got an official diagnoses that Josh was full blown clinically retarded. It was in Josh's best interest to either let him go out on his own and fail, or remain under his parents roof and taught structure and responsibility. Especially at a time when he was rebelling and becoming an adult. An adult with no ambitions, no goals, no work ethic, and no job who only cares about drinking and smoking while hanging out with homeless, yea just set him up with a pad with nobody to keep him in check.

I can understand it was probably a nightmare, and fighting with the boy to brush his teeth and shower gets old quick, but that's your responsibility as a parent. Don't want to raise a retard? Don't dip your dick in retard.

Yea, for a while there was an admittedly funny gay-op to make Josh believe she had posed naked for Clint for his terrible art and they photoshopped her into a bunch of collages. He believed it for a while, even when Clint told him it was a lie. It was during that infamous drunken birthday period where Josh accused Clint of being jealous of his fame which I am sure contributed to the excessive anger he held for his father at that time.

I started really disliking Clint once he admitted that. You already know your weird boy is gullible, so you tell him he's an alien? It's just dumb and thoughtless (funny how that carries between generations). Cobra kept his fantasies well into adulthood, and I would blame Clint for a lot of it. That's a parenting failure and can't be primarily or solely blamed on Cobra's autism or gullibility. There aren't millions of autists who believe they have magical powers, have had the president thank them for defeating a terrorist group with magic, have crowds cheering them on live on TV, and have connections with ghosts and demons. Basic common sense says, "none of that makes sense." That's practically schizo levels of delusion. He has just not been a danger to the public.

Even when compared to Chris Chan, who suffers (worse?) delusions and fantasies, Cobra isn't too far off. Chris' situation was also partly because of Bob and Barbara's failed parenting, combined with his gullibility and autism.

That doesn't include Cobra's lack of critical thinking, planning, and risk assessment skills, which contribute too. But those also stem from Clint not preparing Cobra for life. I'm not saying Clint is 100% to blame, evil, or needs to be hanged, because he's none of those things, but Cobra didn't grow into a successful, happy, and healthy person, and that can be partially attributed to Clint. Cobra ultimately made every choice and took every action, but he didn't have a strong foundation to begin with. It's sad and tragic more than anything.

I think it's the extremeness of Cobra's current situation that pushes the 'Clint bad' hard. Good on Clint if he's helping the boy deal with Ozzy's death and helping Cobra with housing and groceries. That doesn't justify or excuse the past, though.

I do hope Cobra can change his life for the better, but I fear it's too late. He's gone too far to climb out. His teeth are too far gone to save. His kidneys and liver are probably fucked. His brain is fried. He's been without a job for too long. He's been away from society and normal people for too long. He's been depressed for too long.

The easiest thing for Cobra to do is nothing. The hardest thing for Cobra to do is fix his life. I'll bet on the former, sadly.
