Kiwi Dominions 6 Community - TW:WH3 but for actual autists

Looks like it's gameover. Scalaria has taken my throne to which he needed to win. He wanted me to tell you guys that it was a pretty fun game.
He had what seems like ALL of his mages in this fight. It was roughly 2k (me) vs 5k (him). Never had this big of a fight, but I did at least do nearly 1:1 in terms of losses.

I assume he going to claim all the thrones at once next turn. GG you guys.

Well if the ongoing game is still going I may as well start up my own.

Going to spin up an EA game with blitz then and mapnuke it once enough people are in unless people would prefer vanilla gen. Probably will wait for 6 or more players.
Just reply post with the nat you want, I just ask no Ubar since it's busted as fuck or UW unless there's two players that are UW or at least one UW and one amphibious like Agartha.

Other Settings:
  • 32hr timer
  • 91 turn Cataclysm
  • Extra Magic Sites
  • Thrones will vary based off player count

The game is over so if you want to make a new one go ahead. Fine with the settings.
If I join I'll likely play as Pangea, Sauromatia, or Pyrene. Would be good to do an EA, so sick of MA right now.
 
I haven't played much EA but I'm down. What's a good nation to try for a retard such as myself?

Depends. I personally think Pangea gives you a fair amount of things to play with without being overwhelming, and the majority of their troops are straight forward with the exception of the Dryads.
Mekone is fairly simple to, but they're basically a thug nation. Their normal troops are nothing special and only good for support/fodder for your giant troops. Fairly strong mages/commanders that are easy to thug. They have access to God-Slayers as well, which is a unique spear they get that really hurt sacreds/pretenders.
Nielfelheim have both good thugs and regular troops with strong mages. Probably the easiest to get into.
Vanheim and Helhiem are both very strong on their own and easy to understand. They have glamour to so you can easily sneak around and be annoying as fuck. I hate fighting them in EA more than anyone else. Vanheim have good access to Air, Glam, Earth, and some blood. Helheim is the same way except easy access to death rather than blood.

I'll probably give Niefelheim or Mekone a try then, can't go wrong with giants. Have either of them gotten any major changes from Dom 5?

Mekone is roughly the same. Nieflheim have access to Glam but are otherwise the same as well as far as I know. Couldn't tell you anymore than that.

When in doubt, play Abyssia. Both EA and MA are literal grug-tier nation. Got a problem? Apply fire. Problem still persists? Apply more fire. Fire doesn't work? Well shit, guess you gotta start cutting up virgins.

I would hesitate to recommend Abyssia if someone is starting out just because they're a blood nation, which IMO have a bit of a learning curve. Astral is the same way.

I like playing Rus but I'll leave it open if any newer guys want it till later and mull over some other choices.

Sorta. Aby is actually pretty idiot-proof especially in EA because while they're technically a blood nation, you can actually just ignore it in favour of the strong F/E paths they have. Of course, you'd want to learn how to blood to actually win a game, but IMO it's something you should pick up anyway.

In which case, I'd probably lock in TNN first. May as well play with glamour. The fact that astral no longer has luck fucks me with still.

I've heard of a pretty crazy strat for Marverni that I've never gotten to try out.

Should I make this my first MP game? (Did check that the pirated versions get updated on the same day as the official update so I'll be fine, probably)
