@Kung Pow KaoticFears has a Portal error and some warnings which might effect progression. I don't know, I've not done a full playthrough yet.
I gave my map a playtest in the beta and everything looks okay, maybe if I played it in full there might be some problem? I dunno.
One balancing issue that I found is that the Enter The Balldo map ends with the player having 10% health and doesn't recover when the player goes to the next map.
Placing one Soul Sphere on the next map should be enough, or you could just change the order of the maps.
 
Ok, I've played through all the maps, and they were pretty great I must say. I like personally the simpler D1 style maps. But the fortress stage was pretty amazing, except listening to Cyndi Lauper for ~3h was pretty :story:.
There was one stinker though and that was the Patrick intestines one. You could not see anything and I found no health or armor. So I figured the best way to beat it was just to rush through the darkness and ignore everything until you found the end. I also didn't like that you had no map in Kaotic Fears. Running around in the maze(with portals) in darkness was not that great with no map.
Dialation Station 41 is too hard for the first map. I would put the tiny island map first.


Bugs.
YWNB has a door in the graveyard that requires a yellow keycard, but there is none in the map. I had to cheat to get around that so that has to be fixed. You can't beat it right now unless I missed something.

The performance in Kaotic Fears in the center torch/mirror room is pretty bad. Add to that that the stage loops through portals does not help. Every time I looked at that room the FPS tanked hard so I think that needs to be looked at. Maybe reduce the amount of times the mirrors reflect/hall of mirrors?

@Judge Dredd, you have put some graphics in the wrong folders so they don't work in game.
- TSCRN2.png should be in the "patches" folder. But it's included in the planet texture so this does not matter.
- COL6A0.png is in "textures" but should be in "sprites".
- PS20A0.lmp is in "textures" but should be in "patches". Right now all poison signs show the original graphic.

In the Balldo map the door sounds do not work. I could not find my custom sound sequence lump so I guess you never extracted it from the wad. I "think" it should be placed in the root and MAPINFO will find it.

Tweaks.
It looks like all the maps are designed for pistol start, so I suggest to add "ResetHealth" and "ResetInventory" to all maps in MAPINFO. That would also fix the problem of starting with too low health.

It also looks like no map requires jumping or crouching. I think you should add "NoJump" and "NoCrouch" to all maps in MAPINFO. I was able to get to spots you absolutely were not meant to be and/or getting stuck.

Only 2 of the maps does not allow for free look. Rats Den and Server Suicided I think. I don't think having free look in those maps breaks anything so maybe add it to those too so everything is consistent?

Edit: Oh yea forgot, there should absolutely be a credits and "Thank You for playing" text at the end of the episodes.

Oh. Um. Pretty sure the shotgunner right next to the door is supposed to drop it. I'll check real quick.

It's there, and he drops it as expected... assuming you do not gib him. That seems to bug the keycard spawn.

Mirrors are just bad for performance, but I like them so much. It wasn't that bad, was it?
The dark labyrinth was part of the challenge, it didn't look that big in the editor. I can see why people might not like it.

I have a GTX 2080, and it went to 20-30 fps. People with toasters will cry. (My map suffer a bit of this too...) You don't have to remove them, but maybe reduce their quality a bit?

That would explain it. Maybe change it to an enemy that doesn't get gib'ed?

Eveee is a degenerate fruit map - I understand that this is a beginner's map, but a simple fast fix for these screwed up door textures would be to just put a dot right in the middle and then push the door texture on one side until it looks "ok". And I don't mean that the original author needs to do that, you can fix that in under a minute, Judge. The door will still function normally after applying that fix to all sides.

Also there are some missing textures on the backside of the end switch.
 
@Judge Dredd, you can remove some of mirrors due to performance issues, specially the ones in the middle of Kaotic Fears temple it is like 8 linedefs,
I don't really care if you want to change or not anything on my map.
I can provide an update for my map that goes beyond just this minor fix if you really want to.

If you're using weapon/character mods it can break sometimes. There is also a missing texture on the step of the blue key, but it's not game breaking and you have to go out of your way to notice, so I'll leave it alone.

I enjoyed the prison secret.

Another good catch.

I did notice the poison sign but didn't realise it was your texture being broken. Will fix those.

I did consider that. Same with no jumping. Some can be broken by jumping out of bounds. I generally leave things to the mappers choice.

This is also why I want to leave the music for the title map as stock, because that's the song the mapper chose. I've yet to go through the suggestions.

I didn't notice performance problems, but mine is a fairly modern PC.

Though if it's not game breaking, I'm leaving it alone. I highlighted Kaotic Fears because I didn't know if the portal errors would stop progression. As long as it works, it's fine. We're well past the point of cosmetic changes. So unless it's a major problem, best leave it for now.

Cuz my Gzdoom can't read long music names (more than 8 chars), and otherwise it's pretty good at running the wad, I've renamed some music and did so for mapinfo. Also I've added KFTITLE and KFINTER midis, which I suggested before, and if there are objections, I can concede KFTITLE to something else, but would like my KFINTER to stay.

Both I put in the /music/ and MAPINFO.

This zip only contains a new music folder and an edited MAPINFO.

That would explain it. Maybe change it to an enemy that doesn't get gib'ed?
I might increase the difficulty of that area in general, it always felt too easy unless you entered it at like 20% HP. Maybe add some lost souls and move the keycard spawn to one of them.

Huh? I I'm not using any mods. This is as plain as you can get in GZDoom.

If you can get out of bounds from jumping then the mapper didn't consider this. Isn't it better to change this for the sake of the player? No one wants to get stuck in a map.

So is mine. Could you share your light/mirror settings? Maybe I fucked up something at some point.

There is a secret switch on Fatrick Mansion that can only be accessed by jumping up 2 chest height platforms and then doing a sprint jump.

@Judge Dredd let me know if you are going to disable jumping so I can make it no-jump accessible.
 
Kay, added a lost soul above every tombstone and changed the keycard-holding shotgunner to a Pinky, since it's the least threatening monster in the "can't be gibbed" category. Randomly exploding the room with the BFG shouldn't softlock the map now.
