Which jobs have contracts associated with them? I know mining, hydro, medical, engineering (in the works at least. right?),and robotics.
Also on the job stuff should I make the text bigger as well?
I guess cargo is supposed to facilitate most of that, additionally the couple department computers can put orders into cargo
 
Alright, I think I'm gonna call it here with progress. Anyone who wants to add to it (or make it better), the font is Courier New, with bold applied. I have no idea what font I used for the headers for each job. Hope this helps, if not, don't worry about it.

  • delay arrivals announcement until after name is chosen for cyborgs, AIs and clowns (pastelwoodchipper)
  • disposal pipe damage now only occurs at turns (pastelwoodchipper)
  • beer and ale bottles can now be broken over peoples heads like other booze bottles, additionally all booze bottles now need to be opened to be usable (@MAAAD)
  • added some missing supply crates, changed the price of others (can now get wheelchairs) (@MAAAD)
    • can now autolathe supply contract scanners
    • can now fabricate the mech HMG via research
  • can now cauterize your own woudns with the cautery (@MAAAD)
  • hidden walls fixed (@MAAAD)
  • 5% chance of being gibbed while kicking kiwis (@HahaYes)
    • hahayes also previously fixed gibs brains so you can now be cloned or otherwise revived from them
  • cargo no longer needs to accept supply contracts to fulfill them (me)
  • EPOD can now accept delivery from a distance like an EFTPOS if the recipient has a PDA (me)

Is there a way to make a syndicate item only available to be purchased if a specific job is chosen as a traitor?
Right now not really, wouldn't necessarily be that hard to add though the traitor item buying menu is already fairly generic

Does Lord Singuloth not move anymore? I generated one on station just now to send the solo round in a fun manner. But He's not making any moves. Just sat there, medium sized, vibing. I even sacrificed myself to Him to see what would happen. Odd.

The singulo absolutely does move on its own, I've built the engine multiple times:

That it once moved doesn't mean it still moves. The aliens had plenty of regressions last round, who's to say the Singulo didn't as well.
Also, absolutely dire cablework, E-, technically still works.
It only starts moving at the third stage, you should've fed it more beforehand. I think it not moving at stage 2 is intentional.

Singularity Engine is fully functional as is, it just needs to be built completely from the ground up. There are two minor bug with the Particle Accelerator - its parts can be wrenched to just girders with no flooring; it doesn't use any power for some reason, can just magically work without an APC - but that's about it.

Proof of concept: me and @HahaYes built it from the ground up in just 3 hours. We forgot to set Radiation Collectors up to actually harvest power but you can test for yourself locally whether they work or not.

Here's what ACTUALLY needs to be done if you're interested in coooding Engine Autism:
1) Bring back tokamak aka RUST engine (thanks Zuhayr the Codeniggermonkey);
2) Supermatter needs some work - apparently its radiation can't be collected with RCs; "it requires way too much custom mapping stuff to make it work which cant be repaired in-round afaik" according to Gecko (he also says we won't be going back to it but we WILL have new maps eventually so it couldn't hurt to have it refined into a properly working engine).

Anyway, here's recent-most bug & feature request report while I'm at it @geckogoy
  • WOOP WOOP THE ROBOTICS R&D SERVER NO LONGER SPAWNS ROUNDSTART BECAUSE THE ROBOTICS RESEARCH CONSOLE (AND CIRCUIT IMPRINTER) WERE DELETED IN THE RECENT ROBOTICS REMAPPING;
    • No offence but that mapping in general looks kinda shit, it looks worse then it used to be with the plain walls and Science hallway-turned-maintenance having a door into R&D Server room. It'd be better off if you just reverted it and surrounded the surgery area with tinted glass (there was already one there) and a curtain;
  • Medical Fabricator should have super-cool prosthetics and cybernetic enhancements like rocketboots as feet, guns/chainsaws as arms, etc.;
  • Janiborgs fucking suck and are half-broken:
    • give janiborgs a crowbar;
    • janiborgs can't wet their mop;
    • can't click on items with a trash bag to collect them;
    • can't click on box of replacement lights to refill the light replacer;
  • Borgs in general can't unbuckle, not even with Resist verb;
  • Port Molotovs from /vg/;
  • Do squirrels still have broken intent hotkeys? If yes then it's probably the same issue new benos used to have;
  • Surprisingly enough, radio headsets don't have a mob sprite or it's broken;
  • Not ALL of the organs should appear when humans get gibbed;
    • should be a fair chance, like 80+% for any given organ to disappear after gibbing;
    • brain should still be guaranteed to spawn as per gecko's vision;
  • One cannot unbuckle from beds/roller beds without a 2 minute delay, even if not restrained;
  • Mr. Deempisi's (bar monkey) suit cannot be taken off as the 'Uniform' slot doesn't show up in the equip menu;
    • this makes it impossible for chefs to put it in the meat grinder (you can still put it on the meat hooks to spite the Bartender but they're not as funny or bloody as the gibber)
  • Optical Material Scanner HUD overlays the normal UI (see screenie, it's eye cancer);

  • Xenos' night vision broke (only works for a split second before immediatly resetting itself);
  • Not all Traitors now get listed at the roundend report for some reason.

That's just how space is, that I know. Area-less space provides infinite power.

More than a different engine, I'd like a different map. Box is a little too big for a population peaking at 20, but only just. Uterus station, the one directly preceding Box on Goon and present on r4407, should be more our size. Box is a little too pristine and perfect, SS13 should be more of a nonsensical metal deathtrap in the sky. Like Uterus.

I already have something mostly mapped, it'd simply take porting all the paths and finishing it. It's slightly less ambitious than porting Donut station (old or new), because that'd also take reviving old engine ejection code. Also, I don't really like the "derelict" we have connected through teleporter, it's just a bunch of empty hallways that no-one's ever going to populate when the average round lasts around an hour.
I'll probably stick my dick in R-UST one day because it's my autism, and it idiosyncratic design never particularly jived with me. But today is not that day.
 
Uterus station
It looks a bit too raw and empty, like a baby's first map. I'd say just try and backport low-midpop maps like Packed, Way and Synergy Station (especially Synergy, IMHO it's the best of the three) from /vg/ instead.
Regardless, we'll need a new vote-based map changing system in place to have any new maps in the first place.

Actually Box never feels too empty at 15+ pop because it's extremely easy to navigate and has popular public areas like Bar or, in our case, Medbay Lobby that will always see some activity. It works for us.
Donut station
It's a giant, highpop+ map. Don't bother.

This I agree with, at the very least construction drones room at Derelict should have it's APC on roundstart that gets powered by a fully-charged SMES so that it won't run out of power in 10 minutes and observers could actually play them to learn basic Engineering and Construction tropes. It's how I learned to do it originally on /vg/, the Derelict MoMMI is a very solid ghost role.
And yeah I really tried to figure out what station is current Derelict supposed to reference and couldn't. It's a really uninteresting and hollow ruin compared to /vg/'s Ancientstation Derelict or hell, even White Ship. Should be improved/changed completely.
