From what I could tell based on other material_name references and (more primarily) the build directives in place that followed for things like borgs, mechs, computers etc, for some reason directly naming the material in the variable would make it shit itself. Changing the default to null so it had a full selection of what it could pull from to reference materials, then only specifically excluding any material apart from what you actually wanted to use to build the airlock in the specific directives later on is what seemed to make it happy enough to function correctly, and fixed them vanishing when electronics were removed from any state of airlock frame. For some reason it just couldn't wrap back around to referencing steel during deconstruction when the steel was directly named as the main variable, instead it needs that full variety of options via 'null' at the start to run, then it works off a blacklist type system as it goes (you will likely know way more about that intricacy than I do with DM though so please correct me if I'm completely wrong)

As for material doors I built a variety of them to test if they're busted as a result of this change and didn't run into any issues, also double checked making airlocks with various other materials akin to glass and saw no problems there either so it looks good to go

Switching to slide after all, it seems to be noticeably smoother on the server with latency involved (VG also is doing this it turns out)

Alrighty aside from the movement smoothing thing I have reworked eye stabbing as well.

If the eyes are protected, you now get a message telling you that and the attack falls back to the head instead of failing completely. If the only protection is glasses, there is a 50% chance the glasses will be knocked off by the attack.

Anyways the time is now, get on.

BTW this will be in, this is actually the default and macros for ooc were overriding it (which I have deleted)

Oh, I know just messing around a bit with robotics to see the differences.

@geckogoy, just a question, I can't seem to activate the canisters, am I missing something or is it not implemented yet?

Updates
Today I have the smoothness update. Movement glide animation calculations have been further upgraded since they were driving me crazy. Additionally, the air system was probably causing occasional lag spikes and that should be fixed.

Also after this next round I will push again and then hahayes's updates will go in (people started playing early so I am avoiding interrupting them):
Hydroponics inventory improvements (hatchet can be belted, player starts with more plant bags)
Bartenders waistcoat now can hold cigarettes and lighters
You can now use a roll of tape instead of bone gel for ghetto bone surgery
