I have to miss, there's an IRL thing I have to go to around that time where I have to be present to make sure no one else is having any fun and I ruin any possible chance of anything good coming out of it for my comrades. I hope it goes well for you guys though, God willing there will be some worthwhile randoms that join.
Anyone wants I have the day off today though and I can get on now.
 
I will be putting us up on the hub temporarily for saturday as I don't know of any better way to capitalize on TG's mistakes, the server will upfrontly be racist and I anticipate we will be kicked off but worth a try
KiwiStation never got de-hubbed. Just make sure the advertisement info is very clean and respectful. Just put a generic "Players with certain sensitivities may find this community hard to play with" so people know it's rougher than what they're experiencing. They'll complain anyways but Byond won't care as much.

@geckogoy If you don't name it Staatssicherheit Station 13 and write Schild und Schwert as the desc, with Kundschafterlied as the loading song, and security renamed to be Wachregiment I'll be eternally dissapointed.
After all, troons going against commies is anathema.

Been playing around with the engine again. I cannot figure out how the fuck power is supposed to work and I hate it. Power load is 70K, I set it to 70K, overloard. Okay, I set it to 60K, overload. Nigger what!

Hate. I despise the engine, and it makes playing solo really un fun. Especially as you can't really power the station using just solars. The whole overloard thing is something I'm going to need to get used to messing with.

EDIT: Power seems to get eaten up in APCs too fast and the engine is too finnicky for my liking, is what I'm saying.

I havent actually had issues with 'overloads' at all I just max out the output for the various SMES once they are charging and generally its fine

Ah, see now I may be misunderstanding. From the wiki it says that you can't just slamfuck power through, so I've been throttling power to try and match load. I may be misunderstanding overload to mean 'not enough power' rather than too much.

EDIT: I was lol. Turns out if you don't piss and shid yourself in a tard rage you can make things work, bussin. Engines fine.

Possible bug report: I had the traitor objective to hijack shuttle alone. This objective still counted towards my time limit, meaning I need to get the shuttle called and best everyone else by escaping on it alone within ~30 or so minutes. The normal escape objective has no such time limit. I don't know if this is intentional or not but it seems like it would be a pain in the ass.

My feeling is the passenger compartment is a bit redundant and that the sleeper shouldn't be a module if it was going to be unique to oddyseus but instead integral to the mech. The other thing is oddyseus visually seems a bit small so I felt like some other abilities would be more appropriate as unique things (although it can still plug the module like other mechs)

I have to politely disagree. It's an extremely useful module if you're working in teams (ERT, space exploration, mining, circus duo, etc) or busy rescuing people as a non-doctor (inferior sleeper, pick up a dying person and drop them by Medical for real doctors to deal with).

But why? The sleeper is not some supplementary function like external lights or EVA thrusters, it's one of the main and most useful Odysseus modules - it's a portable sleeper, for crying out loud, it houses AND heals people on-the-go. You can equip several of those to become an ultimate ambulance unit or just keep one and still be the best paramed aboard the station.

Sprite work is honestly a non-issue. Also, more unique modules can be coded without, you know, removing the old ones.

I'm sorry if I come off as abrasive, but I liked passenger compartment a lot and removing mecha type limitations from the sleeper is such a significant but pointless powercreep that I can't help but autistically obsess over this one specific change.

  • certain areas of the station were reinforced against meteors, such as arrivals and the engine (@HahaYes)
  • corporate regulations updated clarifying the rights of non humans and self defense rules (@HahaYes)
  • space lube can now be mopped or scrubbed with soap (@HahaYes)
  • stun baton attack delay (@HahaYes)
  • I have done more antag/mind system rewriting which I believe has improved the reliability of the system, but it was another fairly big rewrite so bugs are possible
    • i did test and all the various antags seem to spawn properly now (in particular malf required a bit of kicking) but i didnt run full rounds of each
    • nuke mode should generally be a lot better (crew victory works now)
