I do not know how to play my role, I choose not to play my role. I don't talk to others, I don't play the round as a boring NPC. I always play Engineer, I always overload the reactors, I always ruin the rounds for others. I always make alts, I always throw food and drinks on the floor for the janny. I always kidnap semi afk players and weld them into lockers and then space them. TND and TJD.
 
I forgive you but you can't get into Agartha until you do 100 Heil Hitlers.

Blacktide was extremely fun today, especially the later round where da gang fought dem ERTz in da hood. Pool shootout would've made for a kino fight if it wasn't for that ZAS trap in the hallway that everyone got caught into lol.
Also character highlight of the week: captain Elon Musk that built several rocket setpieces on the station while everyone was out there keeping to the mining grindset.

Frens, I'm sorry if this was answered somewhere else, but looking through 167 pages is too much. The schedule is still only one time window- 6 pm ET? No other time for eurobros?

Yeah, Saturday night is still the only time window of the week. You should bug @geckogoy to bring back those Wednesday night sessions (I wouldn't count on it though as very few people can show up during weekdays and gecko's not one of them).

You can always try to coordinate with other users and just play rounds at agreeable times, the server is always technically 'on' just only active on Saturdays, I some times play during the week solo doing minor projects mostly testing how smooth or janky the physics of the establish system is so I know what i can or cannot use for regular rounds on Saturdays.
 
Updates
  • full ZAS rewrite complete
    • air geometry generation now finishes in just 0.5 seconds
    • detected 25 active edges at map start that old ZAS was not aware of
    • 1400 lines shorter than old zas
    • i did actually test it a decent amount and it seems to work fine but please report any issues tbh, this is much simpler and easier to troubleshoot than the old thing so hopefully issues should resolve pretty quickly

I also tried the kiwi doom map project (video starts in the map select hub) and the kiwi station map by @Grayson Death Carlyle its actually quite based however i am not great at doom tbh

Not explored in this video: medical, chemistry, bar, chapel, escape (however i did not record myself dying 50 times in order to include those things in the video)

@geckogoy What do you propose needs to be done about this load of tiny map changes? Can you at least apply them yourself? I was pretty descriptive in the PR's overview about what I did there so it shouldn't be a problem to reproduce the changes using StrongDMM.

I'm glad you liked it, could have probably done better or made it easier, but it is what it is. There are a lot of far better maps in the pack as well if anyone wants to look at it, mine's probably one of the less well made ones compared to some in there.

I've played very little Doom 2 and I was able to power through it, once I figured I needed to just rush past murder spawns I didn't have to save scum too much to get through it.

I didn't find all the secrets though, I got one gate down on the BFG and I'm not quite sure how I did that, and I started what looked like a series of hidden switches starting by the entrance to medical and through to HoP and maybe to one on the bridge.

TBH I made it to the BFG earlier today and still only got 62% secrets found at the end idk where this guy is hiding stuff but apparently there is a lot of it
 
Ok, I played through the map again and found all the secrets. I did miss one kill somewhere.

Also, in Chapel if you run in and step on the pulpit, you'll telefrag the cyberdemon.(First time I just rushed to the invincibility power up and hard killed him)

I've been able to run to the far entrance to the Evac shuttle and not triggered the ambush, I couldn't recreate it but I only tried a couple extra times, I was trying to beat the ambush this time instead of just running to the switch and map end.
