Yeah sorry but no and this is coming from a former server and bartender. Better service means a better tip and I'm not going to tip automagically if the service sucks.

The server needs to earn it although my standards are pretty easy to get it.

1) Greet the customer in a friendly but not overly familiar way.
2) Offer something to start.
3) Let me know the specials if any.
4) Check if the entree is to my satisfaction and if not try to make it right.
5) Offer coffee or dessert.

As someone studying computer science, this one makes me chuckle:
