whenever someone tries to make it complicated, I find it exhausting, building a relationship takes work, but dating is supposed to be fun and I refuse to approach it any other way
OK, keep having casual sex in your thirties and see how far it takes you.

Yes, I know, she expects to be an ageless celebrity on the prowl with a bunch of barely-legal pieces.

Kyle's ex is going on a tirade on how she apparently escaped an abusive relationship and is back on tinder and getting some d*ck. They absolutely deserved each other, but she's got some nerve.

This lady is a massive piece of work.

Or maybe she's fine and it's just my racist misogyny combined with my hatred of near sited people talking.
It's not necessarily dick she's trying to ride, as she is queer/desperate.

Meanwhile Kyle is also queer and desperate

Yeah but right now what she's looking for is validation and whether she gets it from a guy or gal doesn't matter. It's all about reasserting herself as not being Kyle's woman.

You really have to wonder first of all why she was with him in the first place and secondly why didn't she leave earlier? But of course Kyle makes it all about himself and how he's lonely.

Bitch please. You're a pseudo-intellectual who gets high off his own farts. Nobody wants to spend time with you because of that. Learn to love yourself because nobody else will.

I read the article she wrote after they got engaged and the google doc after they broke up:

She fell into the trap (like many people pre 2015 including some of us here) of believing he knew what he was talking about in his videos and only after meeting up did she find out that hell no, and his "friend group" led by ̶R̶e̶g̶i̶n̶a̶ ̶G̶e̶o̶r̶g̶e̶ Lindsay Ellis regularly ostracize him because he's incapable of forming proper connections.

But just to be clear everyone mentioned is terrible not just Kyle.

If Jourdain was more successful in what she did she would definitely get a thread here.

I've never understood this from women I know. All the men I know basically give up on dating by 35. They're fat, balding, and either married or they're either successful enough to be too busy or a lost cause that's not worth bothering with. But they know it. They never deny it. Even the ugliest women says shit like "I'm in my prime. I just don't want any strings" like some bored 20 something. The ship sailed. The train has left the station. It's the end. The Wall awaits.

Hollywood has taught them otherwise. You see all these movies where the couple with young children are in their forties and had successful careers beforehand. They assume that since they aren't going to stop having periods until their 50s, that means they have until then to have kids, so they have plenty of time. Aisha Tyler from Whose Line and Archer learned the hard way that nope, this is not how it works. Hell, last year Lindsay Ellis was told by a medical professional that since she's over 35, the term for her pregnancy would be geriatric and she took it as a personal insult.

Also, getting married and having children means you have to grow up and they don't want to do that.

It's for the best, trust me. Imagine Ellis as your mom... Yup, I'd rather be raised by nuns in an orphanage. If I remember correctly her mugshot was taken after her marriage, so it's not like she took steps to grow up or anything.

Her mugshot was in 2017, she got married in 2018 IIRC. Anyway, it is for the best that Lindsay doesn't end up a mother.

Wait... really?

Seems extra ironic because didn't her character in Archer have a late baby? (Unless I misunderstood how old she's supposed to be in the show.)

I don't know if she is trying, but since she's under 40 she still could have the kid, just that it'll be harder to conceive and she'll have to be careful when she finally does fall pregnant, if that's still her plan. And it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as Lindsay thinks she might be a good mother, she'll insist on having the baby and all over factors are just irrelevant misogyny.

Yeah, but that's a cartoon. I know Archer's supposed to be around 35, but not sure how old Lana's meant to be, probably the same age. I don't think the other ages were ever confirmed so they wouldn't have to worry about working out the years they were born and could keep things fluid for comedy.

As for Tyler, if I remember correctly she and her husband started trying around the time she turned 40 and despite fertility treatments and all that, nothing happened. So she "decided" on never having children and then she and her husband of almost 25 years got divorced. Pretty sure she's 50 now. Might be older.

It's going to be a dark day when it hits Lindsay that her chance at motherhood was the one she aborted.

Yeah, a lot of those shows do that since KotH. The only problem is that despite the claims people can tell the difference between fiction and reality, a lot of women seem to believe they can have a kid at any time before 40.

Ah. I Google around and found the article where she confessed giving up on it. Did not see anything about the divorce. That's a shame if true.

Actually after 35 the pregnancy is at higher risk for complications including problems with the actual child like the chance of them having Down's Syndrome is something like 1 in 400 while it's only 1 in 1250 if you're 25. That's not to say it can't be done but... it's a risk.

If Lindsay wants kids she needs to get pregnant now.

There's the issue of Lindsay's history of Alcohol use that could also effect those chances and also that Lindsay has a low chance of staying sober for 9 months while being pregnant.

She'll be the type that asks her doctor if it's okay to drink and he'll say something like, "a little bit of white wine is okay". And by "a little bit" he means something like 2oz once a week. She's going to go for a full glass each and every meal which to a lush like her is "a little bit".

That hypothetical kid is going to be severely fucked up.
