I'm not against women or minorities in media. I'm not against trans people in media. I hate how its being presented in such an awful quality, like they're not human first, they're only shoving that part of the person in to qualify for the bare minimum of being diverse instead of having good quality stuff.

Kyle's a little more than panicky. He is genuinely mentally ill. We know he is afraid of eggnog ninjas appearing outside his door. I don't doubt he got death threats. Most semi-known youtubers probably do, and it's probably scary. But for Kyle's broken brain, every disagreement is harassment, every childish name comes from a genocidal fascist, every mean comment is a death threat. It's got to b terrifying to be that paranoid.

And his little "I'm not a Marxist, I don't know economics" whine at the end flies in the face of his intransigence on anything political. From what I understand, Channel Awesome was toxic because Kyle thought he was the only serious legitimate movie critic. Nostalgia Critic was a goofball character, Spoony was over the top, and Kyle really hated Brad because Brad unironically liked bad movies.

A good example of his arrogance was in his Serbian Film review where he said he was the only one on the site qualified to review the film. He shit on Phelous and Brad for doing joke reviews. You see, it was a deep social study on the culture and history of the Serbian people and their struggles. Phelan and Brad just focused on the rape memes. What a couple of uncultured frauds!

See, Oancitizen used to be my favorite TGWTG reviewer because this entire time I thought THIS was the joke. I though Kyle was playing a character: a self-important, pretentious art-school reject who tries his hand at critical theorizing films like Antichrist and Serbian Film but ends up out-manned and out-gunned, creating a funny reaction.

That's why I liked TGWTG in middle school and high school to begin with: I didn't think it was reviewing, I thought it was pure stand-up, with each punchline being a gross exaggeration of getting mad at a movie.
The way Kyle blended high-brow and low-brow humor with these "funny" reactions towards art house films was unique and truth be told I still find his early 2010s stuff very funny for his presentation and performance. But soon I learned that this wasn't an act, Kyle was in fact as miserable and goddamn annoying as he presented himself to be, and in fact was a lot less intelligent than even his cartoonish reviewersona.
