Dramacow Lantzblades - Beast Lair's Autistic Scourge

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Let's try to focus more on the subject of Lantz instead of getting distracted by Nasuverse trivia. Even if he did have all his mechanics right, his character would still be shit.
Of course. Satoshi has the most ridiculous shit and everyone from his AU loves Satoshi, even the villians. It's amazing how dense a man can get. He's a sad manchild utterly obsessed with comics and superheros. I'll try to find where he says nobody in the Nasuverse is a hero because they let people die.

Holy crap, did he even play the game? It's one thing to keep track of all the mechanical details (I may or may not be guilty of skimming the massive exposition textwalls >.>), but the fact that it's impossible to save everyone is a major recurring theme.

When you put it that way, he just sounds like a standard Nasuverse protagonist.

He lives in a bubble, never venturing out of his preconceptions. But he really just doesn't care. He loves the old superman comics where he saves everyone every time, where everything is in black and white. He tries to insert that into the Nasuverse, just look at the first chapter of his fic. Literally everyone is alive, Illya, Iri, Fucking Justaze, Herakles... Everyone. It's a mess.

I can kind of forgive that to some extent - I feel like there are lots of people who'd rather write Carnival Phantasm fics than actual Fate/Tsukihime fics, and I can kind of understand why. I like the series for the characters, and having everyone be able to hang out together and interact is part of the fun. But if you're going to write a serious fic, you have to actually follow canon.

Don't get me wrong, I frequently have an overpowering urge to shake Shirou, too. But at least he eventually admits he's an idiot.

Genre goal: How well your story fits the Genre, comedies should be funny, action stories thrilling, horror suspenseful and so on. Genre is scored out of forty points.

Characterization: How accurately you portray the characters in canon and how you treat them (character bashing in example causes a reduction in points) characterization is scored out of a hundred points

Community: How accurately you portray Fanon characters and Original Characters (OC's which are not yours are the only ones to qualify in this regard) Community is scored out of seventy five points

Creativity: To quote the BNL "Its all been done before" Creativity is how you represent and spin obvious situations. In example, a battle between Kojiro and Saber or Archer and Gilgamesh, or a love confession etcetera. Creativity is scored out of fifty points.

Uniqueness: Uniqueness is the measure of how your work is set apart from others. As with creativity it is scored out fifty.

Appeal: Appeal is a measure of how a work appeals to a judge, it's entirely personal. It is scored out of five points

Fun factor: How much you enjoyed reading the work. Fun factor is scored out of thirty points.

Entry

Story Title:

Genre: (Action, Drama, comedy, Lemon, Parody, Romantic, Slice of life etcetera or some combination thereof)

Nasuverse works (KnK, Tsukihime etcetera or a combination of such)

Route: (Pre VN, X Route etcetera)

Prize request: (I'm a Writer, I'll write something if you win, That's all I can guarantee as a prize. If you'd prefer something else like art or such I can talk with some artists but no promises.)

The "prize" he offered was the worst part, but it wasn't nearly all that was wrong with it. He posted this piece of shit while a seperate fanfiction contest was underway, completely oblivious to the fact that this was not okay. I'm pretty sure the only legitemate entry ended up being the Shrek meme with Satoshi slapped over it.

Readability (X of 20)

Genre goal (X of 40)

Characterization (X of 100)

Community (X of 75)

Creativity (X of 50)

Uniqueness (X of 50)

Appeal (X of 5)

Fun factor (X of 30)

The scoring system was pretentious as shit as well. I still have no idea how he planned on making it work. Apparently community was for using ocs, but you somehow didn't lose points for not using ocs (according to him anyway).

So what was even the point of entering? Bragging rights, I guess, but still. Though I would have been tempted to come up with a serious entry, and then get him to write something I knew he was uncomfortable with if I won.

Mike could honestly make his own thread
Just from browsing the site, Mike's brand of autism seemed to be rather more virulent than Lantz's. His awkward waifu shit made it into like every single thread at some point. But I think they could probably share this thread.

I find Mike to be far less annoying than Lantz. He has the capacity to be nice, and isn't completely and totally autistic about every topic. Only (regrettably, because it gets annoying arguing about Sakura with him at times) Sakura and whether she's a "good" person, his ban, and politics, generally.

Lantz on the other hand is totally insufferable about anything and everything.

He actually refused to write anything slandering his OC's IIRC. I think he viewed the contest as a way to show how much people loved Satoshi because obviously they'd write about him

It's more that he got everywhere. Browsing the Fanfic thread - oh look, here's Mike talking about his fetishes in unnecessary detail. Browsing a Fanclub - oh look, here's Mike complaining about how they didn't rescue Sakura. But then, I've never interacted with either one, so it's probably just the one who's posts come up more.

Also the whole thing with Bittersweet seems like it was pretty lulzy. Mike got seriously Sweetheart Saga'd.

I was thinking something more innocently worded that wasn't an obvious slight against him. (I dunno, slash or something?) Innocent convictions are a lot harder to fight off than obvious trolling. But who the hell would write about someone else's OC? That just seems awkward to me.

It absolutely is but Lantz doesn't think about how other people feel, they're obviously wrong from his perspective.

He doesn't take anything away from this, he doesn't try to learn from it, he just blazes on ahead.
