A couple of years ago, I had a female friend I'd known for years introduce me to her coworker telling me that I'd like her, convey on behalf of said coworker that she was was interested in dating me after we all hung out and then actively try to sabotage the resulting pairing she deliberately set up, all in the span of three weeks. Shit was unreal.
Well, I tried that. The females kept trooning out and/or fawning on hideous men in dresses. The males were 'nice guys' every single one of them.
Go into the metal scene, and not the American nu metal crap but European black metal, power metal, folk metal and symphonic metal. Those are the friendliest scariest looking lovely people i ever had the pleasure to meet, the males are often very drunk or stoned but will do their utmost to be friendly towards everyone because friendly means more beer and burgers, and with the females instead of cockblocking or trooning out there is a reasonable chance to wake up and find yourself in a unknown room smelling of insence next to a bit chubby gothic girl covered in black candle wax.
To be fair, this just sounds like the dude was in charge of the infosec team at Disney (probably for all of their teams across various countries). They like to give themselves fancy names to make it sound more cool than it actually is. If your company is large enough, it'll have an "Intelligence" team monitoring the Internet for infosec related news (most of which involves looking at security-related hashtags on twitter). Not really CIA-esque.
If it's any consolation that attitude seems to drop off a lot in women as they approach Fifty and pass general dating age. I, ah, don't know how long that means you have to wait though.
You beat me to it. A lot of women go through a Pinocchio like transformation and turn into real people around the time menopause kicks in. Science can't explain it so it must be magic.
