Laughing at Clown World Crypto Thread - Aka "post retarded meme coins and other funny shit from /biz/" thread

It doesn't look like a shitcoin. I've seen it shilled a few times and it seems like a serious thing with government endorsements, the pepe poopoo boat is sadly fan art.
Dunno, there are tons of "crypto for X" projects that never get used for X but only to speculate on the coin's value, also isnt eth already able to be used for this? smart contracts and shit?

Besides the egyptian dictatorship that can be bribed to endorse anything which other governments are actually using this? real use and certification, not "thinking about it"

Not sure, I haven't really looked into it. From what I understand they're not just endorsing it, they're making it mandatory starting in July. I think India might already be using it.

Couldnt find anything about the egyptian government actually signing up to this from news sites that werent cryto blogs sourcing from eachother, or from a government site

There were references to this indian logistics company portall but when I go to their site there are no mentions of cargox, tons of other port stuff like drone or 5G but no blockchain, the closest thing being news of an electronic legal system thats just your average database thing, no blocks

Government source:

For the Indian stuff, I don't know. Maybe they backed out of using Cargox after all. I can't find anything definitive about a current partnership either.

How about some projects that sound like scams but aren't?

CryptoKek, sounds totally legit, right? Well, it kind of is.

PooCoin. Yes, it's an actual product called PooCoin.

I honestly don't understand the point of modern cryptocurrency. It's not backed by anything and you can't spend it on anything other than the transaction to buy/sell it. At least precious metals were historically used in coinage and in modern times have industrial use, and stonks are essentially casual investment into a corporation that does or makes something. What assures the value of cryptocurrency?

I don't mean to ask for an explanation of blockchain stuff, I've done my own reading on that and have gotten at least a layman's understanding of cryptography and how you can use it to make tokens. I mean, like, if I buy a lump of silver off of someone, I now have a lump of silver and even if everyone decides to stop trading in it it still carries its antimicrobial properties and is metal that can be banged out into a pot or pan. If I buy gold futures or ownership of gold, I don't physically have it but my deed points to some physical object I'm owed, and the object has that potential industrial use. If I have 20 Canadian Conflict Chits in my pocket, it's objectively worthless but has value in use as a token of exchange so I don't have to bring bags of grain or flatpack patio furniture to barter for beer at the liquor store because of government force backed agreement on its value.

What does cryptocurency get me in terms of normal currency handling?

DogeCoin was originally just a meme until Musk bought some. The future of money is looking real dumb. I regret not buying 15$ worth of it like 10 years ago when I saw a 3d printed coin of it on craigslist (straight up, it was 15$ for the physical slug of plastic with a shiba on it and also he'll give you eleventy billion doge as a bonus)

Not as funny but the thread was amusing so might as well post it. The person was white but the had been working so their hand were dirty. They spent the rest of the thread convincing people they were white.

Universal protocol token the coin I was using as a literal penny tray to round off decimal places from the coins I actually wanted to put money into, is doing better than all my other coins combined.

It's up 500% in the last week and I've only profited £80 (:_(

Anyone following the Truebit launch? Biggest clusterfuck this week. Absolutely legit token from the creators of Ethereum, connections to Vitalik himself, but their stealth launch was a total dumpster fire.

This is their chart. Still not entirely clear on the tech details behind the arbitrage bot setup but seems the crash was a combination of the bot failing (transactions got stuck due to gas fees) and a whale liquidity provider dumping. Now it's recovering a little but the unofficial tg channel is full of screaming moonboi retards who panic sold at .29.

This was the most fun I've had on /biz/ in a while. Days of slowly building excitement and increasing threads, a thread with the text "In this moment I am euphoric a few minutes before the crash, the dump from $1.30 to $.30 in the span of 10 minutes followed by relentless screaming about pump and dumps, shills and whatnot. Half the board celebrating that they avoided an obvious rugpull and the other half raging that their life saving got liquidated while they were out cutting the grass. It truly was not ideal

I like my action spicy, sold my bag around 1.2 yesterday like half an hour before the crash.

Update: This just happened. Chico Crypto starts talking about Truebit around 1 min 50 sec. ~250k subscribers. Pump started already. Telegram channel exploding with moonboi memes. I can't help but feel a little sorry for the bastards who panic sold around .2-.3.

Cumrocket (CUMMIES).

It's probably too late to make much profit from it, but people who bought cummies when the project was brand new have made a tidy sum.
